Itty Bitty Christmas, Snowflake Splendor, Christmas Card

Are you ready for a super quick and easy Christmas card?  Well, please read on.  I was looking for a way to use up some scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I thought I'd just use a simple layout to make an elegant card.  Go grab a cup of coffee and play along.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Next I cut a 2" x 5-1/8" piece of DSP from the "Snowflake Splendor" 12" x 12" package.

I cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock that measured 2-1/8" x 5-1/4".  I taped the DSP to the Coastal Cabana piece and then I taped the strip to the card front but I only used a small dot of tape because I need to remove it. It's more for placement so I could do the words. Now if you are going to make a bunch of cards, set this up in your Stamparatus so you can reproduce the image many times until you have all the cards you need.  I only made two because my piece of DSP was 4" wide.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" and were stamped using Coastal Cabana ink. I did have to ink it up and stamp it twice. My ink pad must be a bit dry. See, that is why I use the Stamparatus a lot. Plus I can get the image straight too!  I will set up my stamp and then stamp on some scrap paper to see if it's on straight.  The best way to make your images as straight as possible!

After stamping the words I set the panel in place using double-sided tape and the card was done.  And now I'm guessing your coffee is still hot!!!  I told you it was a quick and elegant looking card.

To spruce it up a bit you can texture the front of the card with the snowflake embossing folder.  Then you will stamp the words onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and punch or die cut it out. You will need to add a layer of Costal Cabana card stock behind the word piece. You can punch or die cut that piece out from the strip you cut for the DSP layer (before you tape those two pieces together).  Set the word layers in place using Dimensionals.  Now your coffee is cold!!! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
