Itty Bitty Christmas, Poinsettia Place, Christmas Card

If you are looking for an easy and quick Christmas card to make, you came to the right place. This layout is one of my favorite for making quick and easy cards.  Depending on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) you can often make an elegant card too!  This one is not so elegant, it falls more under the category of clean and simple.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I had a piece of DSP from the "Poinsettia Place" package. I received it as a gift for placing an order with Terri Gaines. I believe I received a 4" x 6" piece of each design in the package. I had used the poinsettia one to make a card a few weeks back. You can see that card here.  I cut the DSP in half at 2" and I cut the bottom so it measured 4-1/4" long.

Next I cut a piece of Rea Red Card stock to measure 2-1/4" x 4-1/2".  I taped the DSP to the card stock.

Then I stamped the words from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set using Real Red ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I used a "Stitched Circle" die to cut them out. And then I die cut a Real Red scalloped circle for the layer behind the words. I taped those two layers together. They were then set in place on the card using Dimensionals and the card was done.  See, quick and easy plus clean and simple!

This is also a great layout to use up some of those small scraps you have laying around.

Today's card was fun to make, it's so bright and cheery.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,                                      Wanda

  1. Wanda, I love this pretty card. It's a great way to use those small leftover pieces of DSP. Enjoy your day and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
