Itty Bitty Christmas, Christmas Card

Today's card is a very quick and easy one. Again! This time of year I'm SO into quick and easy. Once I get done posting this I will be burning the midnight oil writing, stuffing envelopes, addressing, labeling and adding postage to our Christmas cards. I'm late at getting them out this year. This month is flying by. But if I get them out tonight I will be down to wrapping gifts as they come in and baking some cookies.  Why does December have to be such a stressful month for me?

I took a sheet of Night of Navy and cut it in half to measure 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"  I folded it in half so it measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brightly Gleaming" 12" x 12" package at 2" x 5-1/2".  I also cut a 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow for the layer. I taped the two pieces together and then taped them on top of the card.

I stamped the words from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set using Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I die cut them with the stitched oval die.  I also die cut a scalloped oval for the layer using Mossy Meadow card stock. You can cut that oval right from the strip you cut for the DSP layer.  I taped my ovals together. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.  When I cut the words I moved them up on the oval, I was thinking I'd put something in that space but I wasn't sure what.  I saw the "Snowflake Sequins" container sitting on my worktable so I thought I'd glue some of them on the oval. I few landed on the Night of Navy area and I liked what I saw. It was kind of plain there anyway. The snowflakes dressed up the card nicely.  Happy accident. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock to the inside and the card was done. 

This was a very easy card to make. It's also a good way to use up some of those pieces of DSP that you have laying around.
