Christmas Card, November 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card, Stampin' Up!

There's only a handful of days left till Christmas and I still have lots of Christmas cards I want to make. I said that after looking through the new spring catalog and writing up a wish list!!! LOL But after Christmas I won't be making anymore Christmas cards but I may be making some winter cards with a Christmas theme to use as thank you cards. And then there's that couple of weeks before you can order and receive your new stuff. So I will be playing with some stuff from the latest catalog so I can feel better about getting some use out of them.  Such a sad cycle!!! LOL

So for today's card I thought I'd play with the November Paper Pumpkin kit. I still have lots of pieces to it but will not be making anymore cards from it to post here. I may use up the pieces making cards I already made so I have extra on hand for next year.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I'm amazed at how many cards I've made using Whisper White as my base this month. I usually use a lot of red for Christmas. Interesting.  Anyway, I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sea Side Spray and textured it using the "Winter Snow" embossing folder.

I took a 1/4 sheet of Whisper White card stock and used the dotted die from the "Curvy Dies" set. I turned it so the dots were on the side I didn't want. I just wanted to make some smooth curves and not ones that looked like I made them with my scissors.  I made two and taped them together. Mine did overlap on the bottom but when I was done I cut them off so the piece once again measured 5-1/4" long.

I cut a house with a green door apart from the kit and taped it to the front of the card. I left 1/4" on the left side. I did tuck the house into the front wave of snow to make it look like it wasn't just sitting on the snow.

I took one of the white pieces in the kit and I stamped on it using the images that came in the kit. I used Cajun Craze ink for my stamping. I did end up tracing a door from one of the factory printed other white pieces because I decided I wanted the green door to show but I didn't want to stamp on the backside of one of the factory printed ones. I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.  I also added a green candy dot to the top part of the house.

I die cut two trees from the "In the pines, Pine Woods" dies. I used a double-sided sticky sheet to put the Whisper White card stock on and cut them out. I didn't want to mess with gluing them. So this made them into stickers. I removed the backing and stuck the trees in place on the side of the house. I set one lower than the other for some dimension. I was going to add a little Shaded Spruce ink to the trees but I decided to leave them white.

The words are from the kit and I stamped them using Cajun Craze ink.

I wrapped a some white twine around the piece, tied it in a bow.  The piece was then set in place on top of the Whisper White card base and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I'm off to look for something fun from my list of card ideas to make  for tomorrow.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today and have a look,                                              Wanda
