One of the things I like about the "Flight of Fancy" set was that it covers three occasions. There's a cute witch on a broom that I used in October. There's this adorable angel for Christmas and there's a cupid for Valentine's Day. I don't often buy Valentine's Day sets because it's only one day and I usually sell my cards in the fall at craft fairs and no one is looking for a Valentine's Day card then. You'd think they would want to shop ahead of time, right??? LOL
This was a fun card to make. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock for the layer and the top layer of Balmy Blue was die cut using the largest stitched rectangle die. I did have to trim the one side of the Whisper White piece because the die was not the right proportion. After trimming I textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder.
I stamped the angel from the "Flight of Fancy" set on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then I die cut her out using the second largest stitched oval die. I also die cut a scalloped oval using Balmy Blue card stock.
I colored the angel and house in with my Blends Pens. I used light and dark Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, and Balmy Blue. I used light Smoky Slate and Bronze. After coloring I taped the two ovals together.
The snowflakes are from the "Christmas Layers" dies. I used a double sided sticky sheet with the Whisper White piece on it to make them into a sticker so it was easier to affix to the card stock.
The words stamped using black Memento ink and are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set. I stamped them on a 3/8 piece of Whisper White card stock. I trimmed the ends after stamping.
I set the oval and the words in place using Dimensionals. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside. Clear rhinestones were added to the snowflakes and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I struggled with that Whisper White layer. At first I had a piece of Sea Side Spray cut for it but it got lost when sandwiched between the two Balmy Blues. White stood out better, SO much better. I think it's a sweet card and it will be sent out to someone next month.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
