The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Shaded Spruce. That's a color I don't use too much but it's a perfect color for Christmas time.
I stamped the angel from the "Flight of Fancy" set using black Memento ink. I colored her in using Blends Pens. I used Daffodil Delight (light), both light and dark Balmy Blue. Both light and dark Petal Pink. Light Soft Suede and light Smoky Slate.
The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set and were stamped using Real Red ink. I used my Stamparatus to line them up. I had to move them several times to get them right. I did the top ones first and the bottom ones next. I didn't have the words that were used in the original card, so I used what I had and made it work. Then I did what I absolutely hate to do, I tore the bottom of the stamped piece. It just kills me to rip up my stamped piece, especially when I got everything straight. LOL But I went for it. I took the card stock and tore the bottom right part towards me. If I would have taken the bottom left and tore it away from me, the jagged edge would be more smooth. It does make a difference the direction you tear it. Practice it on a piece of scrap and see.
I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Christmas Plaid" 6" x 6" paper stack. I had a strip left over from a Halloween card I had made so I used that. It's cut 5-1/4" and you'll have to figure out how wide to cut it after your stamped piece is torn. My piece was 1-1/2" wide, which was a bit more than I needed but the piece was already cut so I used it. I wasn't going to save a 1/4" strip. I have plenty of scrap!!! You have to draw the line sometime!
Okay, once the strip was taped in place I taped the focal piece and then I added three rhinestones to the sky and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.
It was an easy card to make except for the fussiness of the wording.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
How sweet is that. So prescious.
