The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.
The tree from the "Life is Beautiful" set was stamped first using black Memento ink.
Then the words from the Celebration Tidings was added using black Memento ink.
And from the "Ghoulish Goodies, the tiny little spider was used. It was also stamped using black Memento ink. I was hoping to use a bit more from that set but the spider worked well with this card. I did have the spider that was used in the original card but I thought it just looked too big for the tree.
Then the sky area was sponged in using black Memento ink. After sponging the piece was taped in place on top of the Basic Black piece.
I tied a bow from some Basic Black retired ribbon and I set it in place using some small glue dots. And the card was done.
It was quick and easy but not as fun as I thought it would be. There's only 14 more days till Halloween so I do have some days ahead to play with the "Ghoulish Goodies" set before the end of the month. This Halloween was supposed to be SO fun and special. It is on a Saturday, which is the best day for it to fall on. And there's supposed to be a full moon. It's a full "Blue Hunter's Moon". And the next full moon on Halloween won't be until 2039. My grandkids will be to old to trick or treat by then. And I'll be too old to go with them. I'll probably still be making cards then though!!! LOL
Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
That’s a really cute Halloween card,
ReplyDeleteSince I don’t have the stamps going to watercolor.
