Forever Fern, Here's a Card, Birthday Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found a card on the internet for my inspiration to make this card. I can't find the link to it, sorry. It's a lot different than mine. I copied the leaves and ran off from there.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I cut a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped three of the leaves from the "Forever Fern" stamp set. I used Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry.  After stamping the leaves, I cut a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock for the layer.

Before taping the layer to the stamped piece, I die cut the oval scallop from the center of it.  Or you can use a piece of scrap Razzleberry for it. I was making several cards and it was easier for me to use the cut piece than to take a larger piece of card stock. I would have had to have used a half-sheet to make the ovals I would need.

I took a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock and stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using Rich Razzleberry ink. I had to stamp a few extra because this ink doesn't seem to dry as quickly and as thoroughly as I thought it did. I ended up heat setting the ink so if I touched it, it wouldn't smear.  I taped the ovals together.

The stamped leaves layers were taped to the bottom left of the card and the words were set in place using Dimensionals. I die cut the Mossy Meadow leaves and cut that piece in half. It's kind of a half circle shape. I taped the ends of the leaves under the oval. And the card was done.

This was a quick and easy card to make. Not one of my favorites using this set though. I have found lots of fun cards using this set.  I will be making some from time to time. I need to make one or two more Paper Pumpkin cards from the September kit before I pack it away. The next one will be here in a few days.  And I want to play with the Halloween and fall sets that I bought. Oh and the Christmas ones too. This month is flying by.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,                                                                            Wanda
