The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. I textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is at the top.
I die cut the second largest circle in the "Layering Circles" dies using Whisper White card stock. This circle measures 2-5/8". Then I die cut the scalloped circle using Seaside Spray card stock. I taped the two pieces together and I set them aside.
The words are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set. I used Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock. They were die cut using the "Layering Oval" dies. I also die cut a scalloped oval using Seaside Spray card stock. I taped the two pieces together and set them aside.
I used the "Forever Fern set to stamp the various leaves. I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the taller leaves in the back using Seaside Spray ink. Then I stamped the smaller leafs using Smoky Slate ink. I stamped two of these. And I stamped the smallest leaves using Night of Navy. My Night of Navy ink didn't stamp as dark as the original card and my Seaside Spray ink pad was way too wet. It came that way. I think it may have gotten a double dose before shipping! I am going to take a plastic spoon and move the ink to one side so I it won't stamp as wet.
All the stamped pieces were die cut and I also die cut the larger leaf set using vellum and there's a leaf set that was die cut using some copper foil card stock and I cut that piece in half after cutting.
To assemble the pieces I added some tape to the middle of the circle about 1" x 1". I taped the taller Seaside Spray piece first and then I tucked one of the copper pieces in behind it. Next was the vellum piece. Then the two Smoky Slate pieces and the last copper piece on top. I added Dimensionals to the back of the Night of Navy piece and set it in place, centering it.
A Whisper White Baker's Twine bow was tied and set in place on the stem of the Night of Navy piece using a small glue dot.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and the circle was set in place on the left side of the card. Tape was added to the left side of the oval and a couple of Dimensionals were added to the right side and the oval was set in place.
I added a few Champaign rhinestones (I believe these are retired). And the card was done.
It's not exactly like the original but it's still pretty. I may add some Wink of Stella to the Night of Navy leaves and see if it will pull up some of the color and darken the leaves.
This was a fun card to make and easy to assemble, even if I had to guess where things went!
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
