The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock. And on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of a card from the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I had punched out a daisy on one corner of the card but I still had the whole back of the card to use. I would have to say, it's the first time in a long time that I've used 90% of the stuff in a kit!!!
I stamped the car, words, and smoke on the white cards that came in the kit. I used Basic Black for the car and the smoke and I used Pacific Point for the words. The car and smoke are from the "Geared Up Garage" set and the words are from the "Here's a Card" set.
I die cut the car using the matching die in the bundle I bought last year. And I die cut the gears using the gold foil paper. I was going to use silver because it matched the gears better being they are normally silver tone metal but it didn't go well with the blue background, so I had to go with the gold. It's still pretty.
I die cut the words using one oval die and one "Stitched" oval die. I taped those two pieces together.
Then I die cut the smoke piece using an oval die and the black layer behind it was cut with the next size up oval die. I taped those two pieces together.
I colored the car in using the light Night of Navy Blends Pen. Super easy to color using the Blends.
I taped the gears in place and the smoke oval.
The word piece and the car were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a very quick and easy card to make. I don't seem to make enough masculine cards. I need to make more with this set. It came out last year and was in the catalog this year, which usually means it won't be in next years catalog. SO, I'd better use it some more! It's great for masculine birthdays and Father's Day, masculine Get Well, or for someone who really likes cars!
I like the way the card turned out and I think our son will like it too.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
This is a perfect card for a fellow.
