Peaceful Moments, Band Together Detailed Bands, Thank You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up Catalog

Today's card is a very fun, quick, and easy card.  I love this kind of layout. It's a great way to use up some craps of Designer Series Papers.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a piece of copier paper that was just a hair shy of 4" x 5-1/4".  Then I cut a Whisper White piece of card stock that measured 4" x 2-3/4".  Now this piece you can make larger or smaller depending on the size of the scrap of DSP you have.  I textured it using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. My DSP is from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" paper stack measured 4" x 2-1/2".  I taped the DSP and the embossed piece to the copier paper. 

I die cut the pretty label from the "Detailed Bands" dies using Melon Mambo card stock.  It was the closest color I had that would blend well with the DSP.  

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set. I stamped them on Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I die cut it with the second smallest oval die.  I set the words in place on the Melon Mambo band using Dimensionals. Then I set the band in place on top of the DSP and embossed card stock piece. I made sure the little points on the ends of the band lined up with the line where the DSP and card stock meet.  The band was longer than the card, so I trimmed the ends.  This is why I needed to have something on the back of the DSP and embossed card stock.  It would have been difficult to hold the pieces together while trimming those sides. Then I taped this piece to the front of the card and the card was done.

And that's it.  Quick and simple.  Easy Peasy!!  This layout works so well with all DSP. Be creative with your word piece. You can use round, square, hexagon, etc. They will all look great. I could have made this a get well card, it's SO bright and cheery.
