Gorgeous Posies, Painted Labels, Get Well Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

The card I found today is a super easy one and there's a video!  You can see it here. It's easy to play along but if you just look at the card, you really don't need the video.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather card stock.  The card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The original card uses the new Misty Moonlight card stock and ink.  I didn't have any card stock and all I have is a Stampin' Spot for my ink. It came in my May 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  So I did use the ink and for the card stock I used Night of Navy. I believe I just snuck by doing that. I have on my wish list a variety pack of the in colors.

I cut the Night of Navy piece 4" x 5-1/4" and then I die cut the spiral piece from the "Painted Labels" dies.  I cut it from the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece.  No one will ever see that piece has a hole in the middle.  Many times when I need to die cut something I will take a 1/4 sheet of card stock and die cut it in the middle and put it back in with the rest of the pack of card stock.  It's not scrap, it will eventually be used and hidden!  I have a lot less scrap doing this.

The Whisper White piece here was cut 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" because I used Night of Navy and I didn't want a lot of it showing so it would blend with the Misty Moonlight ink. I know, I could have used Night of Navy ink but I liked how the Highland Heather and Misty Moonlight ink paired.  I stamped the flowers from the "Gorgeous Posies" set using Highland Heather ink. Some I stamped off once to give it some depth.  When stamping the flower centers I stamped off once there too.  That piece was taped to the Night of Navy piece and a piece of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon was taped to the backside before it was all taped to the card base.

The words are from the "Gorgeous Posies" set and they were stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White using Highland Heather ink.  They were die cut using the third smallest circle die and the Highland Heather scalloped circle was die cut using the third smallest scalloped circle.  These two were taped together and set on top of the swirl piece using Dimensionals.

The swirl piece was set in place using snail tape.  Then a bow was tied using the "Polka Dot Tulle" ribbon. It was set in place using glue dots.

The inside of the card is a piece of Whisper White that was stamped with a few flowers like they did in the video. I usually don't stamp on the inside of cards but this was quick, easy, and pretty.  And that was it.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and very pretty too. I liked this set the minute I saw it and I plan on using it a bit more in the near future.  It can be used for birthdays, thinking of you, and Mother's Day too!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
