Good Morning Magnolia, Thinking of You Card

I'm going to do my typing before I add the photo and see what I get today.  Apparently there are still some bugs that Blogger needs to work out for his to run smoothly.  I read that by adding some code you can get the words to wrap around the photo.  Okay. I will deal with code later. I'm not all that familiar with code and where it insert it.  I know the code, just not were it needs to go.  Wake up, that stuff is boring!! LOL

My card today is from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set.  It's such a fun and versatile set.  I have played with it some but not as much as I would have liked to.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was cut for the focal piece.

I also cut another one from some retired card stock to make a template.  The circle is 2-1/8" and I tried to center it as much as possible on the retired card stock piece.  I die cut it out and used a post it note to hold it to the Whisper White piece.

I sponged on some Daffodil Delight ink and then some Crushed Curry ink.  Now I had forgotten that when you are sponging, the area will be much darker than you think. It was, but it's okay I still like it, it makes the flower pop.

The flower is from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set. I stamped it using black Memento ink. Then I colored it in using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends pens.  The greens were colored in using both light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens.  Then I die cut the piece. I used to die cut it after stamping it but I'd end up ruining it in the coloring and have to do it all again, so I just color first and then cut it out if it's good.  I find I don't make as many mistakes if I color first and then cut.  It must be something psychological!  LOL

The words are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set too. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I set the Whisper White piece in place with Dimensionals and then I set the flower in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.

It's a very quick and easy card to make and it's versatile. This can be used for a birthday, get well, thinking of you, and even Mother's Day!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda

Shhhh.  I got it to look like it should. I don't know what happened but I'm not touching it.  Shutting it down and walking away!!! LOL
