World of Good, Sailing Home, Blossoms in Bloom, Masculine Birthday Card

I purchased the "World of Good" Designer Series Paper (DSP) to use with the "Sailing Home" set. I know there was a new set to go with the new paper but the "Sailing Home" was still current so I thought I would play with it some more and get my "monies worth out" of it!  I bought this set as a bundle so I have the matching dies. I didn't use those here today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock.  I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the DSP from the "World of Good" 12" x 12" package.  When I cut my DSP, I cut a 4" strip from the 12" x 12" sheet.  After cutting 5-1/4" off I cut a 3" piece.  I placed the tip of that 3" piece to the center of the card front and lined up the other corner tip to the top right side.  I marked the top edge and the side edge and cut those two to fit.  I taped that piece in place.

I stamped the sail boat from the "Sailing Home" set using Night of Navy ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I die cut it with the second largest Stitched circle die.  I cut a gold foil circle that was a little bit larger than the stitched circle.  I should have used copper foil paper, I was once again not paying attention to my papers. UGH.  But no one will really notice, it blends well.  The gold reflects so much that it makes the copper lines look gold.  No one will be the wiser.  I taped those two pieces together and added Dimensionals to the back. I set it on top of the card but didn't set it in place. I needed to know where the words were to go.

The words are from the "Blossoms in Bloom" set. I stamped them using Night of Navy ink.  I was looking for some words that weren't too frilly looking.  These were perfect.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock on the inside and the card was done.

This was a fun and easy card to make.  I don't have enough masculine cards in my stash. I need to make a few more.  This would also work as a Father's Day card, masculine Get Well card, and even a masculine Sympathy card.

Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
