I am behind on my card making and I actually needed a card. I forgot about needing a graduation card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party. My card opens on the bottom and the fold is at the top.
I cut a 2-3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the flowers from the "Gorgeous Posies" set using Pool Party ink. I cut a mask and used it to cover the flowers so I could stamp the leaves. The leaves were stamped using Granny Apple green for the base of the leaves and the veins were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink. I didn't get the veins lined up right. They curve is supposed to be along the open white spaces. I need to practice with that set more. It's harder to line things up when you use the red rubber stamps. I SO prefer the clear stamps. The center of the flowers were done by inking up a dauber sponge with Gray Granite ink and giving it a twist at the center of the flower.
Next I cut a 3" x 5-1/8" piece of Gray Granite. I clipped the Whisper White piece to look like a ribbon end and then I taped it to the Gray Granite piece and then cut the end of that one too.
I tied a ribbon around the two pieces. Well, I didn't actually tie it. I cut a piece of ribbon to 4-1/2" long and I taped the ends on the backside of the layers. I slipped the ribbon, still on the spool, and tied a knot and then I cut the ribbon. I taped the piece to the front of the card.
The words are from the "Here's a Card" set. I stamped them using Gray Granite ink. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I think I would LOVE to play with those flowers in another color.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
