Framed For You, Stitched So Sweetly, Tasteful Textile, Thinking of You Card

Today I am going to share with you a card that my sweet friend Terri made for me.  She is a fabulous stamper and a super demonstrator.  She's got a great blog with lots of stamping tips and techniques on it.  Check it out here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Highland Heather.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape was cut for the layer.

Then a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.

The flowers were stamped using the "Framed for You" set.  It's the set that Terri helped design after she hit a million dollars in sales!!!!  I think it's great and fun that the demonstrators get to help create a stamp set of their dreams. (P.S. I had her autograph my set!).  The leaves were stamped first and they were done using Granny Apple Green ink.  Then the flowers were added using Highland Heather ink.  Both images are from her "Framed for You" set.   You may want to cut your focal Whisper White piece and stamp the images as long as you have the stamps and ink out.  That piece is cut 1-3/4" x 2-7/8".  It's taped to a piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock that was die cut using the "Stitched So Sweetly" rectangular dies.  The Gorgeous Grape piece was die cut from the layer on top of the card base before it was taped in place.  No one will ever see that there's a piece missing in the middle of it.  I often take a quarter sheet of card stock and die cut in the middle and put it back in my pack instead of putting it in my scrap pile.  I can still use the whole piece when making a layer. If I die cut from a side then I've created a piece of scrap.  It saves on card stock and like I said, no one knows there's a piece missing in the center.

After stamping on the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White piece, it was textured using the "Tasteful Textile" embossing folder and then taped to the Gorgeous Grape piece.

The words are also from her set and they were stamped using Highland Heather ink and punched out using the "Everyday Label" punch.

The Whisper White focal layer was set in place using Dimensionals and the label piece was tucked under it.

Small pearls were added, my card has 16 of them on it.  It's SO much prettier in real life.

I have played with this set a little and have enjoyed it. I have a couple of ideas for it and I'll be working on them in a few days.

Isn't this a stunning card?  Terri is SO talented.  Be sure to hop on over to her blog and see what she's up to.  She's got a lot of videos.  And be sure to leave her a comment!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
