How much do you love black with white dots papers? And when you add it to red, well you've got a pretty card in the makings.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I took the black and white polka dotted sticker from the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit and centered it side to side and top to bottom on the front of my card. If you don't have this kit and you have some black polka dotted paper you can cut it to fit. My piece measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/4". I'm adding that measurement for me too. I have some more papers and I think I can manage to find enough fun stuff to make this card without the Paper Pumpkin kit. It was a fun and easy card to make, so I want to have all the measurements so I can make another one sometime down the road.
I cut a 3/4" strip from one of the gold and white striped cards in the kit. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the card, I may just embellish it as it is, with the 3/4" piece missing. If I cut any more off it, it won't look like it was meant to be! I taped this strip to the left side of the polka dotted piece. My striped piece measured 3/4" x 5-1/2".
I punched out two petal pieces from the large and two from the medium flower punch. I glued the pieces together and set them aside to dry. I also punched out two 1/2" circles from some scrap Crushed Curry card stock. I glued them to the center of each flower.
The word piece is from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped the word "Hello" from the kit and I used Real Red ink to do it. I stamped it off to the left side of that strip. I set it in place on the card using Dimensionals.
I took two sets of leaves from the kit for behind the flowers.
I added a Dimensional to the back of each flower. I removed the protective paper from the Dimensional and I stuck the end of the leaves to it and then I placed the smaller flower on top of the word strip.
The larger flower was added the same way but placed on top of the black and white polka dotted piece.
A little Wink of Stella was added to the center of each flower. And there were some adhesive sequins from the kit that I added to the card.
Don't forget to add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside for writing on. And that was it.
This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. Though the leaves were already done so that helps.
Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
