Today's card was very fun and easy to do. I know wit looks complicated but it really isn't.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
I die cut the thick and the thin images from the "Many Layered Blossoms" dies. I did add double sided sticky sheets to the back of each of them. I didn't want to do any gluing. I don't like gluing them but I've done it because I forgot to add the sticky sheets. Live and learn. But most of the time I don't learn!! LOL I die cut them on Whisper White card stock.
I sponged on some Granny Apple Green ink on the leaves and I tried not to get any on the flowers but it's kind of hard to see where the flowers begin and the leaves end. I couldn't set the top piece on to see because the backing accidentally came off. No, I'm not going to talk about it!!! LOL I could have set it on top to see where the leaves ended but my card is what it is and I think it looks just fine.
I sponged the flowers using Daffodil Delight ink. Then I sponged them in the center areas using Crushed Curry ink. And then I sponged the very centers using Mango Melody ink.
I didn't let the ink dry enough before I stuck the top think Whisper White layer on and it didn't want to stick in spots. I was hoping I didn't ruin it. It was curling up all over the place. So I took it over to my heat embossing gun and heated the front up. More started to curl up in the process but that was okay, I just wanted the whole front of the card to be hot. I turned it face down on my counter and set my Big Shot embossing plate over the top. It was cool and it was flat. Then I set my plant on top of that. I needed something heavy to hold the piece down for a minute. I went and washed my hands to get the excess ink off and when I came back (a minute later) it was nicely stuck! So, heat is the secret to making sure things stick. Heat and pressure.

The words are from the "Blossoms in Bloom" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.
I cut the word piece to 3/8" x 3-1/2" and I cut a Pear Pizzazz piece of card stock to 5/8" x 3-3/4". Yes, you read that right, Pear Pizzazz. When I was cutting the card stock I forgot that I was using Granny Apple Green ink. But it blends in well and looks just fine.
After all that went wrong, the card turned out nice. I'm pleased with it.
