Today I found this pretty card on Pinterest. I didn't have some of the elements but I managed to make it as best as I could. You can see the original card here.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Melon Mambo. Then a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" pack. On the original card, the striped on the DSP were horizontal, here I had them vertical so it is not as colorful as the original card. I was thrilled that I had a piece big enough and I didn't think about the orientation. But it's still pretty.
I stamped the flower pot from the "Basket of Blooms" set on Whisper White card stock and I stamped one on a scrap piece of copier paper. I cut out the copier paper one. I colored it in using the light and dark Soft Suede Blends pens.
I set the copier paper flower pot over the colored flower pot and then I stamped the leaves using black Memento ink. I used the image that had a bunch of leaves on it. I stamped it on the left side, kind of tall. And I stamped on the right side but lower and a bit more tilted to the right. Then I stamped the leaf with lots of veins. I also stamped one more of that leaf on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped 5 of the other veined leaf image on the same Whisper White piece of card stock. I fussy cut all of those leaves out.
I stamped the flowers from the same set using black Memento ink. I took the "Small Blooms" punch and punched them out. I colored them using the light Melon Mambo Blends pen.
I stamped the words from the "Peaceful Moments" set using black Memento ink. Then I cut the piece out using the second largest stitched rectangle die.
I taped the striped DSP to the Melon Mambo card stock and wrapped a Daffodil Delight ribbon around the card and taped the edges on the back. I tied a bow and set it aside.
I set the Whisper White rectangle piece in place using Dimensionals.
The leaves were taped in place and then the flowers were set in place using Dimensionals. I had some Daffodil Delight epoxy resin dots so I place them on the center of each flower.
The bow was set in place using glue dots and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I didn't have the in colors so I used what I had and I made it work!
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by,
Wanda
