Now that I had a couple of cards under my belt using the "Many Layered Blossoms" dies, I thought I'd see what I could come up with and here it is.
Using this die set alone you can make some pretty cards. I did buy the bundle. The only thing I've used in the stamping set "Blossoms in Bloom" was the words. Though I think I'm going to give the pretty flower background a try soon too.
But for my card today, I die cut the background piece using vellum.
Then I die cut the thinner outline piece using Whisper White card stock. I did use the double sided sticky paper behind the card stock so my piece would be a sticker. I had been saving those sheets, but for what? And why? Do you do that? I do that with a lot of things and then suddenly they retire and I'm sitting there with lots of product I should have used. SO I'm just going to use it and if I use it up and want more, I will just add it to my wish list and when the wish list is big enough I will place an order.
So, back to my card. I had attached the two pieces together and I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals at the center of each flower. You have to look really hard to see them and you have to know they are there to even look for them. But to the untrained eye, they are not visible.
The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I was going to use Basic Gray or even Smoky Slate but these words were thin enough that black ink was just fine.
I die cut the words using the die from the "Ornate Frames" set. There's 11 fun dies in that set. I haven't played with them much but I have other plans for them in the near future. The words were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a VERY fun card to make. It was super easy, quick and fun to do. I can see myself making more for wedding cards. SO pretty!!!
Thank you SO very much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
