Gorgeous Posies, Flowers for Every Season, Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary, Mother's Day Card

Today's card is one of those that allows you to use some pretty busy Designer Series Paper (DSP) and make it look not so busy!

I like this layout and I've used it before on some pretty busy DSP.  It's an easy way to use up some DSP too.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Sea Side Spray card stock.  This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.

I cut a 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

Then I cut a 3" x 3" piece of DSP from the new "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" paper stack.  I kind of regret getting this pack of DSP because it's full of the new 2020-2021 in colors and I didn't buy any. But I did buy a package of Sea Side spray and fortunately these flowers go well with it.  So far I've been able to make this DSP work with what I have, so maybe it will be okay.

I set the DSP on top of the Whisper White piece to see where the words will need to go.  I set the Whisper White piece up in my Stamparatus so I could make sure I got them stamped nice and dark, centered and straight.  I actually made four of these cards. One piece of the DSP is 6" x 6" and once cut at 3" x 3", I had four pieces.  There's not a lot of pieces to this card so why not make four?  The Stamparatus is all set up, so stamp four.  The words are from the "Gorgeous Posies" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I didn't have any matching ribbon that was current, so I took some shimmery Basic Gray ribbon and cut it at 4" long.  I taped the ends of the ribbon to the back of the Whisper White piece.  I used scotch tape to keep it in place.  I made sure the ribbon covered the edge of the DSP.  I slipped some ribbon (still on the spool) under the taped ribbon, I tied a knot and then I cut the end of the ribbon.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done.

The more I look at this card, the more I am liking it.  It can be used for a birthday, wedding, anniversary or even a Mother's Day card.

This was a fun card to make. I love it when I can use up some DSP. But imagine if it was a 12" x 12" piece of DSP???   You'd have 16 super simple cards to make.  Maybe enough cards for the entire year!!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
