I was looking to make a super quick and simple card but I thought it looked too simple, so I added a layer behind the focal piece and this is what I came up with. Which do you like better?
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. For both cards I stamped the green leaves from the "Framed for You" set using Granny Apple Green ink.
I stamped the flower using Highland Heather ink. I fussy cut the flowers out.
I stamped the words from the same "Framed for You" set using black Memento ink.
I set the flower in place using a small Dimensional and I added a pearl to the center of the flower.
For the card on top, I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather card stock.
I had cut the Whisper White piece to 3-3/4" x 5". I taped the Whisper White piece to the Highland Heather piece and then I taped those two pieces to the Whisper White card base. And that card was done.
Both are quick, though the bottom one is quicker!
Both are quick, though the bottom one is quicker!
This was a very fun card to make and the simplicity of it is perfect for a sympathy card.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda

tough choice but I think the layered one looks more finished

I like the stepped-up version with the layer of Highland Heather behind. Both cards are pretty with the simple flower and sentiment. Enjoy your day!
Framing it with the Highland Heather card stock was perfect! (I love that color!) This is "simply" beautiful!
