Today I wanted to play with something new but yet knew I should play with some of the sets I already have that will probably retire next year. So I took the best of both. I played with some new Designer Series Paper (DSP) and a stamp set from last year's catalog.
I really like the "Butterfly Gala" set and it's got a matching punch so you don't have to fussy cut. I stamped the butterfly using black Memento ink and I punched it out. I colored it in using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pens. I set it aside.
I took a half-sheet of Whisper White card stock and folded it in half. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 2" x 4" piece of the "Flowers for Every Season" DSP. I taped it to the bottom of the card front.
I textured a 2" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I taped this piece to the top of the card base.
The words are from the "Butterfly Gala" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.
I set the butterfly in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This is a very quick and easy card to make. It's fun to revisit last year's sets!!
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
