Today's card was a very fun card to make. After I finished it and took the photo I thought the ribbon didn't look right. It kind of makes the card look like it sprouted wings and was going to fly. LOL Maybe if I cut one end in the opposite direction. The world may never know!!!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" stack (retired).
I die cut a "Stitched Nested Label" using Whisper White card stock. I used the third largest die.
I stamped the leaves from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set. I liked the looks of those leaves from yesterday's card. I colored them in using both light and dark Old Olive Blends pens.
I had the flower from the other day when I made a card using the "Daisy Lane" set. I had stamped too many daisy's and I didn't want to put them in recycling. I glued the two pieces together.
I set the leaves on the Whisper White label piece and then the daisy on top to see how many leaves I wanted to keep. I liked adding all four of them so I went with it. I glued the stems of the leaves together in the center and then I taped it to the top part of the label piece.
I added a Dimensional to the back of the flower and I set it in place.
I affixed a Faceted Gem (retired) to the center of the flower.
I took a piece of retired ribbon and I cut it 4" long and tapered the ends. I taped it to the center of the card,
I added Dimensionals to the back of the label piece and I set it in place on the front of the card. And that was it.
This was a very quick and easy card to make. I like this layout. I like everything about the card except for that "winged" looking ribbon!! LOL
