Love What You Do, Daisy Punches Thank You Card

Today I was in need of a thank you card.  I found a fun layout on Pinterest so I thought I would work with it. I did not have all of the supplies but this is how mine turned out.  It's pretty close!! You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.

On top of the card I taped a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I cut my piece 4-1/4" wide and I cut the left side 3" down and I cut the right side 1-3/4" down. I had actually cut my DSP 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and I was trying to cut it in half but I had the measurements wrong.  So what I did was I took the piece from the bottom of the DSP and I cut it to the same size as the top piece. I could have left it, it wasn't that much longer.  I was trying to save time and make two cards from the one piece of DSP.  I did make two, I just had to trim the DSP a little.  So if you want to make this using the whole piece of DSP and cutting it in half the right way, you will want to add 7/8" to each side.  I think I did the math on that right.  I prefer to just eye it and then trim the other end.

So the next thing I did was I cut a strip of Pool Party card stock to measure 1/4" wide and since I had cut it on the angle of a quarter sheet of card stock, I had the ends to trim off after taping it to the front of the card.

Next I stamped the words from the "Love What You Do" set.  I found the font of that "thank you" to be perfect for this card.

I didn't have the die cut (or if I did, I wasn't aware I had it!! LOL) I took my "Rectangle Stitched Framelets" dies and I cut two of the second to the thinnest ones using Pool Party card stock.  I cut 1/2" off the top of one and I cut the other piece in half (at about 1-1/2").  I set them on the front of my card so I could see where to position them so that the flower will hide the seam of those two pieces.

I punched out two large and two small daisies using the large and medium daisy punches.  I glued the flowers together and I added a 3/8" Daffodil Delight circle to the center of the flower. I did glue that piece in place too.  And the card was done.

I liked making this card. It was fun and easy. It's colorful and cheery too!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
