Under My Umbrella, Shower Card, 2020 Spring Catalog

When I saw this card on Pinterest, I knew that I just HAD to make it.  I clicked on the photo and it took me to a main page to order Stampin' Up! products. I was hoping for some instructions but it wasn't there, so this is how I did it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Gray Granite.  

I cut a 4"x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.  I taped it to the card base.

I cut a 4" x 4-7/8" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock.  I textured it using the "Corrugated" embossing folder. I taped it on top of the Basic Black piece.  

I cut a 3-3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I took the largest circle die and with a pencil, I lightly traced it onto the Whisper White piece.

I then stamped the two smaller flower cluster images from the "Under My Umbrella" stamp set. I used black Memento ink to stamp them. I alternated them as I stamped around the circle.  There were a few spots that I didn't quite pay attention and the circle got a little off.  Try not to look too closely at that!

I took my markers out and I colored the leaves using using Granny Apple Green.  I colored the center of the flowers using Crushed Curry and I colored the flowers using Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Highland Heather.  L set it aside to dry. Before I assembled the card I took my art gum (kneadable eraser) and I erased the pencil lines.

I stamped the umbrella from the "Under My Umbrella" set using black Memento ink. I colored it in using my light Bermuda Bay Blends Pen.  I then punched the umbrella out with the matching punch.  It's an easy enough outline that you can fussy cut it with ease.

I stamped the umbrella handle using black memento ink. I punched it out and I glued the top end to the back of the umbrella.  

I stamped the words from the same "Under My Umbrella" set using black memento ink.  I fussy cut them out. I kept the edges round, no sharp edges.  

I set the umbrella and words in place using Dimensionals.

I had a few clear dots left over from my April Paper Pumpkin set and I added them to the front of the card.

And that was how I made that card.  It was fun and I especially loved the coloring. If I were to make another one, I would pay better attention to the placement of the flower so it looks more rounded.

Under My Umbrella, Shower Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

My card today is a pretty quick and easy one.  I used the "Under My Umbrella" stamp set, matching punch and some Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather card stock and taped it to the card base. 

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and I textured it using the "Layered Leaves" embossing folder.  I taped it to the Highland Heather piece on the card base.

I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Highland Heather for the layer behind the 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White.  I did not tape the pieces together yet. I needed to die cut from the center before using.

My polka dot umbrella came from the DSP in the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I punched it out using the matching punch.

I stamped the boots on a piece of DSP from the 6" x 6" Subtles stack.  I did fussy cut them out.

I set the Whisper White piece up in my Stamparatus and I set the pieces on top where I thought they should go.  Then I lined up the handle of the umbrella and closed the cover of the Stamparatus.  I then stamped the umbrella handle using black Memento ink.

I stamped the words from the "Under My Umbrella" using black Memento ink. I die cut them out using the smallest circle die.

I took the Highland Heather square for the small Whisper White layer and I die cut the smallest scalloped circle from the center.

I taped the two squares together and I taped them on top of the textured Whisper White piece.

I set the umbrella and boots in place using Dimensionals. 

The rain drops are left over from April's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I still have some cards left to make from my kit.  But I knew I had plenty of those adorable rain drops.

I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

And I did add a tiny black mark to the top of the umbrella. It looked like it completed the look of the handle going all the way up the umbrella.

And that was it.  It's a super cute and quick card to make.  I LOVE all the purple.

Bonanza Buddies, Wonderful Moments, Gallery Grunge, Children's Birthday Card

Today's card is a bit different.  It fits a business size envelope.  The #10 size.  I found the card here but there was no link to find out how to make it so I had to guess.  Here's how I made it.  

The base of my card is 9-1/4" x 7-3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I folded it in half on the 7-3/4" side. I usually score my cards before folding but I didn't want to get the math wrong, so I just folded it and hoped it went in half on both ends.  It did!!!

I cut a 3" x 8-1/2" piece of Poppy Parade.  I taped it to the card base.

I cut a 2-7/8" x 8-3/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I did not have the cute stars and splats images that were used on the original card so here's what I did.  I took the large dotted image from the "Gallery Grunge" set using Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped that image 3 times on the card stock.

Next I stamped the Poppy Parade dots from the "Wonderful Moments" set.  I stamped them six times on the sides of the Daffodil Delight large dotted areas.  

I fussy cut the cute animals from the "Birthday Bonanza" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  

I die cut the banner from the same DSP. 

I stamped the Poppy Parade bars using the image from the "Bonanza Buddies" set.  I fussy cut them.

And the words are from the "Wonderful Moments" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I set the animals and the banner in place using Dimensionals.  I looked at the original card for placement of the critters!

I added the Poppy Parade bars using snail tape.

I added crystal rhinestones to the front of the card and it was done.  

This was a very fun and easy card to make.  And it will hold some dollar bills nicely, no folding them in half!!! 

I have not made a long card like this in many years.  It's fun. I had picked up a back of the business size (#10) envelopes at the Dollar Tree last week.  It was just good timing!!!

Wonderful Moments, Magnolia Lane, Birthday Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I have used this layout many times. I found a pretty card on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try because I had some scraps to use up. You can see the original card here.  

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock. 

The top layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that was textued using the "Tufted" 3D embossing folder.  The piece was taped to the card base.

I cut three pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I cut these squares at 2" x 2". 

I cut the Basic Black layers at 2-1/8" x 2-1/8".  I taped the DSP to the Basic Black layers.  It's when I saw that the squares were too large.  I think they should have been cut 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" and the Basic Black layer should be cut at 1-7/8" x 1-7/8".  Or even cutting the DSP at 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" and 1-5/8" x 1-5/8" for the Basic Black layers.  But this is what it is and it's okay.  If you don't look at the original card you will never know!!!  No peeking!!! LOL

I taped the squares to the textured piece.  I have some Washi tape that is a ruler that is taped across my worktable and I just lined up the card so I could find the center and that's where I started one corner.  I turned the card so I could find the center on the other end I set that piece in place. Then I taped the center square in place.  

I fussy cut a flower from the same DSP and I taped it in place.  That is actually when it dawned on me that the squares were too big.  

The words are from the "Wonderful Moments" set using black Memento ink to stamp them on the Whisper White card stock. 

I die cut the words with the smallest Stitched oval die.  And I die cut a Basic Black scalloped oval for the layer behind the words.  I taped those two pieces together and I set them on top of the card using Dimensionals.

I added three gold sequins to the front of the card and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.

I do like the look of the card and other than the fussy cut flower being a little small, the card looks good to me.  All in all it was a fun card to make and I REALLY do like this layout.

Share Sunshine, Stampin' Up! COVID-19 PDF Images, Wash Your Hands Card

Stampin' Up! came out with the "Share Sunshine" PDF to purchase.  What's nice about this PDF is you don't need any stamps to play with it.  You can cut, punch or die cut the images.  And there's LOTS of images in different colors.  Look on Pinterest under "Share Sunshine" for lots of fun samples.  I bought my download ($12) a couple of weeks ago and I am finally getting around to playing with it.  There's lots of fun cards on Pinterest that I would like to remake using this download.  You can get the download here.  I'm not sure how long it will be available.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Best Dressed 6" x 6" paper stack.  I LOVE these stacks and I never seem to use up all of the paper in them.  They are SO worth the money.  I taped my DSP to the card base.

I die cut the words from the "Share Sunshine" PDF using the 2-11/16" circle.  And I cut a scalloped circle using Pear Pizzazz card stock.  I taped those two layers together. 

And knowing me, I just couldn't leave it alone.  I had to add the additional wording.  In the movie "Home Alone" (the first one) there was a black and white movie that Kevin was watching and the bad guy said "ya filthy animal". And every time I hear "wash your hands" I also hear "ya filthy animal" and in that guys voice!!!  I know, I need some major help!  LOL  I just couldn't help myself so I typed up the words and printed them out.  I typed them using the "Century font and size 16 font. I also had it print the words using the Old Olive color.  The color code for your printer for Old Olive is (RGB) 154, 165, 68.  I probably should have stuck with the Pear Pizzazz but I thought it would be too light to see on the Whisper White piece.  So it is what it is. I punched out the words using the "Classic Label" punch.

I set the circles and the words in place using Dimensionals.  I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it was done.  Now, who to send it to? I have a lot of friends with a great sense of humor, so it's going to be difficult to pick!!!  But I'm sure I will be using more of the images in the PDF.  There's a lot of fun ones.  Check them out on Pinterest and then order the PDF. The money raised from this is being donated to The World Health Organization COVID response fund and United Way Worldwides COVID recovery fund. So you are helping out these great causes and having some fun at the same time.

Magnolia Lane, Good Morning Magnolia, Thinking of You Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I liked the layout of this card I found on Pinterest and I had some scrap pieces of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I thought would work.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The card stock was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side and it's folded at 5-1/2" on the 11" side.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I ran the front part of the card through the Big Shot using the "Layered Leaves 3D" embossing folder.

I cut a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of DSP from the Magnolia Lane 12" x 12" paper pack.  I taped it to the top part of the card.

I tied a Basic Black ribbon around the card and I tied a knot.  I did add a little tape to hold it in place on the card.

The words are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock. 

I punched the words out using the Pretty Label punch.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals and the card was finished.

This is a very quick and easy card to make. I'm going to add it to the stack of cards that are easy to make and can use up a lot of scrap DSP or like yesterday's card, it used up some retired card stock.

This would also be a very pretty wedding card, plus other occasions.

Good Morning Magnolia, Ornate Borders, Thinking of You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this pretty card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.  I really liked that flower border on the diagonal.  I think that is what caught my eye.  I clicked on the link but it didn't take me anywhere, so here is how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and I die cut the flower border from the "Ornate Borders" dies.  I just lined it up to what the original card looked like and I die cut it out on my Big Shot.

I set the die cut piece on top of the Whisper White piece so I could line up the wording.  The words I used are from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set. I stamped them using black Memento in.

I taped the die cut piece to the Whisper White piece. 

I did take a toothpick and a little bit of glue and ran it along the top edge of the die cut flowers to get them to lay flat.  

I taped the two layers to the card base. 

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was such a pretty and SUPER quick card to make.  I have a lot of retired card stock that I ran across the other day and this would be a perfect use for it. I can use black Memento ink for the words and the colored card stock for the die cut piece and it will still look great!!  I guess I need to set up my Stamparatus if I'm going to try using some of this card stock up!!!

This would make a great birthday, Mother's Day, thank you, and thinking of you card.. Maybe some white on white for a wedding card??? I'm going to have to try that. I had a wedding that was supposed to be in April but the date got moved to November.  I should at least have the card ready, right?   I think I would add some pearls to the center of the flowers for the wedding card.  It won't be mailed so I can add as much thickness as I want!

Music From the Heart, Magnolia Lane , Polaroid Technique, Birthday Card

I have not done the Polaroid technique in a while. I like it because it has a nice focal point and a place for some wording.  Oh, and it's easy to do.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack and I taped it to the card base.

I took a 3" x 3-3/4" piece of Petal Pink and I die cut a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" square from the center.  Mine didn't quite get centered. I used my magnetic platform and the piece shifted. If I would have used a post it note it may have stayed where I set it.  But I'm using it anyway, it's not off by that much.

I stamped the words from the "Music From the Heart" set using black Memento ink. I set it aside to dry.

I also cut a piece of Whisper White that is just a bit shy of 3" x 3-3/4".  I didn't want to have to deal with lining it up perfectly.  

I set the Petal Pink piece on top to see where the center of that opening would be.  Then I sponged on some Mossy Meadow ink in that area.

I die cut the flower from the same "Magnolia Lane" DSP.  

I taped the Petal Pink piece to the sponged Whisper White piece.  Then I taped that to the front of the card. 

I added the flower using Dimensionals.

Then I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside and the card was done.

I like this technique because it fills up the front of the card quickly and makes a great layout. You have a place for some type of image (here the flower) and a place for the words.  This was a fun card to make.  But next time I will not use my magnetic platform.

Peaceful Moments, Ornate Borders, Daisy Punch, Birthday Card

I was looking in Pinterest and I found this layout that I really liked, so I ran with it and this is what I came up with.  You can see the original card here. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock.

The top of the card was done in pieces.  I textured a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock using the "Subtle" embossing folder. I cut a 5/8" strip and a 2-1/8" strip from that piece.

Next I die cut two of the pretty bordered edging from the "Ornate Borders" dies using Gorgeous Grape card stock.  I made sure I moved the die inward on the edge of the Gorgeous Grape card stock so I had something there to tape or glue in place.  I used tape. I taped one of the border pieces to the right side of the smaller textured Whisper White piece.  And I taped the other border piece to the left side of the larger textured Whisper White piece. I did have to snip the ends a bit, they overlapped.  

I cut a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4"piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" paper pack. 

To assemble the background you will need to either mark a scrap piece of copier paper or use your grid paper.  Mark the piece 4" x 5-1/4".  Set the Whisper White pieces face down over that marked area.  You can also cut a piece of copier paper to that size and just lay your pieces over it.  Add some snail tape to the back of those pieces.  Make sure they are lined up to measure 4" x 5-1/4" and then set the DSP in place over the gap between the two pieces.  You can also just do the small side first and then add the larger one. Whichever way works best for you.

I punched the flowers using the large and medium "Daisy" punches. I punched four of each size.  I placed a flower in the palm of my hand and I took a marker and I pressed it into the center of the flower.  Having it in the palm of my hand allowed it to cup up a bit. I glued the flowers together.  I set them on top of the card so I could see where the leaves were going to go.

The leaves were punched out using the "Leaf" punch on Granny Apple Green card stock.  Pear Pizzazz will work well here too.  I glued the stems in place under the flowers.

I added a Dimensional to the back of the flowers and I set them in place.  

Then I stamped the words from the "Peaceful Moments" set using black Memento ink.  I set the card up in my Stamparatus because I knew the ink wouldn't work well on that textured surface.  I had to ink and stamp it three times.  If I were to make this card again, I would stamp the words first now that I know where they go. I think it would have been difficult to stamp them first not knowing where the placement would be.  Maybe leaving the Whisper White piece a little wider before stamping and texturing and then trimming it so it's mostly centered.  That could work.

I added the flower centers from the "Perennial Essence" Floral Centers embellishment container.  I didn't look in the new catalog, but my guess is that these are retiring at the end of this month.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done.

I really like the look of this card.  It's got such a happy feel to it.

This Little Piggy, Coronavirus Masked Piggy Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I saw this card and thought it would be fun to make for my neighbor.  My little granddaughters and I are going over to her house to drop off some spring flowering plants, cupcakes (that they will frost for her) and some needed supplies like toilet paper, Clorox wipes, some handmade disposable face masks, some soda pop and when I ran out today I checked in with her to see if she needed anything and she wanted some painting canvas from the Dollar Tree.  The Dollar Tree didn't have any but I have a couple I will drop off for her. She's alone and is trying to stay busy.  I chatted with her outside for a bit this afternoon.  I don't think I'd like to be doing this staying at home thing alone, and especially at her age.  Anyway, I thought this card would give her a smile too.  I'll have the girls sign the inside.  They LOVE doing things like that. It's important to teach the children that giving is a good thing.

So about this card.  I found it here.  There's a video but I didn't watch it all.  I got to the part where she was adding the layer for the side panels. Her's were scalloped. I didn't have the dies she had so I stopped the video and went to my work area and this is what I came up with.  

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. 

I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper stack to 1-1/2" x 5-1/2". 

I cut the strip for the sides of the DSP using Melon Mambo card stock.  I cut them 1/2" x 5-1/2" each.  I taped them to the edges of the DSP.  I should have used glue. Glue gives you some time to slide things around and get them straight.  I taped this panel to the left side of the card.  

I stamped the pig from the soon to retire "This Little Piggy" set using black Memento ink.    I stamped an extra head to fussy cut out.

I die cut the piggy image using the second largest oval die. 

I cut a Melon Mambo scalloped oval die.

I colored the piggy using my light and dark Petal Pink Blends pens.  I fussy cut the second piggy face and colored it too.

I took a 3" piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine and I added a little snail to the back. I pressed the end of the twine onto the tape and wrapped the twine around the front of the face two times.  I pressed the other end of the twine onto the tape on the back. I did have to trim my end before I pressed it in place. I added a tiny piece of scotch tape to the twine to help keep it in place.

I taped the Whisper White oval to the Melon Mambo oval.  Then I set that oval in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.  

I set the piggy head in place using Dimensionals.  I cut a tiny Whisper White rectangle 3/8" x 1/4" and I glued it to the front of the piggy's face.  

The words are from the original designer's website.  She offered a PDF.  I downloaded it and printed them out. I punched them using the "Classic Label" punch. I also punched two of Melon Mambo and offset them on the back of the word piece.  I taped the word piece in place and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I am going to miss this little piggy set. I will be putting it up for sale in my web store along with some other sets.  I may post them here first with a link. That way you will know to go there.  I'm REALLY bad at putting things in my web store quickly.  It takes a lot of steps to get something in there. Photos, writing a description, weighing it with the envelope it's going to be sent in. Setting up the postage along with the measurements of the envelope. I always miss a step along the way and have trouble figuring out what I did wrong to get it to go right.  But I give it a good try before I cry for help from our son!  Once in a while I get it right and I pat myself on the back!!!  I have LOTS of stamp sets I need to sell. I usually sell them at our annual garage sale the day before Mother's Day but it didn't happen this year, for obvious reasons.  SO our tv room is piled with boxes that can't go out in the summer hot and winter cold garage.  So be patient and I will get them on there.  If there is a set you are looking for, I may have it.  Just ask via private email.  It's on the side bar on the right, where it says "Got a Question email me here".

Music From the Heart, Birthday Card, 2020 Spring Catalog

Today's card came from Pinterest but I the link connected to the photo didn't lead to any instructions.  SO I had to guess and hope to get it right. I like to add the measurements not only for you but in case I want to make another one or one similar to it using that layout. I am in need of a birthday card, so here's how I made this card.  

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  It was cut at 4-1/4" on the 8-1/2" side and folded on the 5-1/2" mark.  It would work just as well if you cut cut the card stock in half on the 11" side and fold it at 4-1/4".  It would open on the bottom, with the fold on the top.

On top of the card base is two pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack.  

The DSP measures 2-1/2" x 3-7/8".  Both pieces should be cut to those measurements.  My top piece is not cut the same because my piece was a little short, so I had to make it work.  My top piece measures 2-1/2" x 3-5/8".  

If you are doing it the first way, then you will need to cut two pieces of Basic Black card stock that measure 2-5/8" x 4".  Or if your piece is short like mine, the Basic Black layer for my top piece measures 2-5/8" x 3-3/4".  

I set the layered pieces on top of the card so I could see where I needed to add the words. 

The words are from the "Music From the Heart" set.  It's such a sweet set and it's retiring at the end of the month. (which is rolling around pretty fast!). The words were stamped using black Memento ink.

I taped both pieces of DSP to the Basic Black layers.  

I taped the striped piece in place on the left side of the card.  I lined up the top, bottom and left side with the DSP layered piece.

After the flowered piece was taped, I wrapped and tied some Baker's Twine around the piece and tied a bow.  I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.  And the card was done.  Not only is it pretty but it's quick and easy too! Ya gotta love that!!

I have LOTS of DSP, current and retired to use up and this would be a perfect way to do it.  You should be able to get 6 cards (card layers) from one 12" x 12" sheet of DSP.  Set up your Stamparatus and make a bunch, quick and easy.

Hoot Hoot Hooray, Friendship, Thank You Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I'm making a clean and simple card.  Plus a super quick and easy one too!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  

On top of that is a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Balmy Blue card stock.

The top Whisper White piece was cut 5" x 3-3/4".

I stamped the flower from the "Hoot Hoot Hooray" set using black Memento ink.

I colored the image using my light Daffodil Delight Blends pen for the center of the flower.  The light and dark Balmy Blue Blends pen for the petals and light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pen for the leaves.  And that was it for the coloring.  You can use markers with a Blender Pen or any other coloring medium you wish.  This image is very easy to color.  

You can also mask the words and stamp just the flower and add different words that fit more with a card you are needing.  This would make a great get well card, thinking of you card, friendship card, Mother's Day card and even a sympathy card.  I just think it has such a sweet look to it.  You can find small words in the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set.  I may set this up in my Stamparatus and make a few cards with just the daisy and save them for another time, adding the wording I need as the occasion arises.  

This was a fun card to make. I like the simplicity of it.  And it's a fast card to make when you need a quick card!  I was planting my spring flowers today (yup, here in Minnesota it finally warmed up enough to plant stuff) and I was still in the "flower" mood.  I still have a few more to plant tomorrow morning and some tomato plants to plant. I actually grew them from seeds!  I have a grow light that looks like a long desk lamp and I just put my plants under it and watch them grow. Right now I have some Romaine lettuce under it. I bought the lettuce two weeks ago and I cut off the bottom core part about 2" and I used a vegetable peeler on the bottom to expose some fresh core and put it in water to grow.  I do have lettuce leaves coming from the center but no roots yet.  I did the same with celery. I now have two celery plants outside in my big garden pot.  I had to put it in a big pot because we have rabbits around here and I know my leaf lettuce and celery would be eaten by them.  I'll let you know how it's doing.  If I remember I will take a picture tomorrow and add it to my blog to show you how cool it looks.

Birthday Bonanza, Bonanza Buddies, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I found this fun card here on Pinterest.  I thought it was such a cute card and I just had to make it. I clicked on the image on Pinterest but it didn't take me anywhere, so this is how I made the card.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of  Bermuda Bay card stock.  

On top of the card base I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of  the striped Designer Series Paper (DSP) "Birthday Bonanza" 12" x 12" paper pack.

I cut a 3" x 5" piece of DSP  with the dots on it.  On the backside is the koala bear.  That piece was hard to use because I don't like using big pieces that have images on the other side that I like. But I gave a heavy sigh and took the piece to my paper cutter.  I taped this piece on top of the striped DSP.

I punched out the three characters from the "Birthday Bonanza" DSP.  I used 1-7/8" circle die cut to cut them out.  

I die cut three 2-1/8" Bermuda Bay circles. I taped the characters to each circle.  The koala bear didn't have a hat so I fussy cut one from a scrap piece of the DSP. I taped it in place.

I was going to add little pom poms to the tops of the hats but I forgot.  I was running late in getting this card out and I was rushing.  I might still add them but I think they look find without them. The original card doesn't have them.

I took a 5/8" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" stamp set using Bermuda Bay ink.  I taped this piece to the bottom part of the card. The bottom edge of that strip is 5/8" up from the bottom edge of the card base.  

I added Dimensionals to the toucan and set it in place on the front of the card.  Next I added the koala bear using Dimensionals on parts of the piece that didn't touch the previous circle.  I added snail tape to the part that did touch the circle.  And for the final circle, I did the same as the koala bear one. 

I added a rhinestone to the word strip and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This is such a cute card and it was a lot of fun to make. Plus it was very easy.  This could be done using the stamp set alone too, but why???  I need to use up this DSP because it's retiring.  It's too darn cute. I am glad the "Bonanza Buddies" set will be in the new catalog.  I do like using it for kids cards.

Music From the Heart, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today's card was directly from Pinterest.  You can see it by clicking here.  I thought it was such a sweet card, plus it was from the "Music From the Heart" set that I have not played with much.  And I think this set may be retiring at the end of this month.  That makes me sad because I didn't get to play with it as much as I thought I would.  Which tells me that I bought too many stamps and I need limit the amount of stamps I buy in the new catalog.  And with our annual garage sale cancelled because of the virus, I didn't get to sell my old sets to get money for the new ones.  SO, I will be limiting my shopping this time around.  A lot of thought will go into my purchases instead of just buying because I like it.

Let me tell you how I made this card.  The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. 

On top of that is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.

The Whisper White layer was cut 3-3/8" x 4-5/8".  I didn't stamp the words until I had made the squares.

I stamped the piano from the "Music From the Heart" set using black Memento ink.  Then I die cut it using the second largest "Stitched Squares" dies. 

I cut a 2-3/8" x 2-3/8" Basic Black square and I taped the stitched square to it.  I added just the tiniest amount of tape to the back of the square and set it in place on the larger Whisper White piece so I could see where the words were to be stamped.

I stamped the words from the "Music From the Heart" using black Memento ink.  I also added the musical note from the same set, using black Memento ink.

Next I die cut the paper ribbon.  I used the die from the "Ornate Borders" dies and I used Real Red card stock.  The card stock made the top layer look lumpy, so I would recommend using Dimensionals to set the stitched square in place on top of the Basic Black square.  Or maybe ribbon wouldn't be as bulky. I taped the Real Red strip to the Basic Black square. I left the right side long so I could trim it once I got the squares set in place. I just used a scissors and trimmed it off.

I taped the large panel layers to the card base and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I like the looks of it and I like the red in the middle. The eye is attracted to red and your eyes are drawn right to the center of the card, just where you want it to be.  And from there it moves to the words.  

Have fun making one, it's a fun birthday card for males, females and even teens!

Good Morning Magnolia, Magnolia Memories, Magnolia Lane, Thinking of You Card

The last two card I had made were found here, as well as this one. They were part of a single photo on that web site.  I wasn't able to get any measurements so I had to guess. I think I got it pretty close.  Here's how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

I cut a 3-1/2" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.  

Then I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I taped the DSP to the piece of Whisper White card stock. 

I set the Whisper White piece in my Stamparatus and I set the words from the "Good Morning Magnolia" stamp set.  I thought I had gotten it straight. I usually use a piece of scrap copier paper and stamp on it so I can see if it's straight.  But this time I didn't because I thought it looked straight.  I guess I was wrong.  Anyway, I stamped the words using black Memento ink.  

I die cut the flower petals using the "Magnolia Memories" dies.  I die cut two small ones and one large one.  I actually cut two large ones because I thought the flower looked lopsided.  The two together didn't work so I ended up just using one.  I glued the three pieces together.  

I die cut the Daffodil Delight flower center and I glued that to the center of the white petals.

I added one of the fuzzy centers from the "Perennial Essence Floral Centers" accessories.   

I die cut three leaves, two of the large ones and one small.  They were cut from a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.  I hovered the flower over the area where the flower was to be set in place and I glued the leaves in place.

I added a Dimensional to the back of the flower and I set it in place on the card.

That was it.  This was a very quick and easy card to make.  This layout kind of reminds me of the "Polaroid" technique.  It has something at the top and a wide space for words at the bottom.  Both are great ways to use the DSP in larger pieces.  

This was a fun card to make and I can see myself using this layout again on other cards.

Good Morning Magnolia, Magnolia Memory, Magnolia Lane, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

The link that was posted on yesterday's card also lead to two other fun cards using the "Magnolia Lane" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I liked the look of this card and I finally got to play with the fun die cut that made the pretty edge on the bottom of the flowered DSP.  Here's the link to this card.  

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. 

I cut a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of the striped DSP.  I taped it to the bottom part of the card base.

I cut a 4-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of the floral DSP.  I then die cut the end using the die from the "Magnolia Memories" die set.  I did have to trim the top part a bit because I thought it was a little too long.  From the side tip to the top the piece measures 3-7/8" x 4-1/4".  

I die cut the flower from another sheet of the DSP from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack.

I die cut a stitched circle using Whisper White card stock. I used the second smallest circle.  

I taped the flower to the circle and then I tied a Mossy Meadow Baker's Twine bow and I set it in place using a small glue dot.  If you only have white Baker's twine, you can color it several ways.  You can use your Mossy Meadow marker. You can use your Mossy Meadow ink pad.  You can use your Mossy Meadow ink refill and you can use your Mossy Meadow Blends pen.  And you can always just tie a white bow too! 

The words were stamped on a piece of Petal Pink card stock that was cut at 3/4" x 3".  I cut the ribbon looking tips at the end using my paper snips. I was going to use the Triple Banner punch like I did yesterday but I was too lazy to get up and get it.  LOL  I taped this piece to the flowered DSP using snail tape.  It's about 1/8" from the right edge and it's 1-7/8" from the top edge of the card. It looks a little crooked but I measured and it really is straight!

Next I added Dimensionals to the circle piece and I set it in place on the left over the word strip.  And the card was done. 

I like the look of this card. And this one was a whole lot easier and quicker than yesterdays card!

Good Morning Magnolia, Thank You Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this pretty card on Pinterest. I still had my "Magnolia Lane" Designer Series Paper (DSP) sitting out and I saw this card and had to give it a try.  There were no measurements so here is how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

The Whisper White panel was cut at 4" x 3-1/2".  I taped that on top of the card base about 1/2"  in on the left side.  

I cut a piece of the striped DSP 2" x 4-7/8". I punched the ends using the "Triple Banner" punch.  If you are cutting this by hand, your DSP will need to be 2" x 4-3/8".  Both ends were punched (cut).   I taped that piece on top of the Whisper White piece.  The tip on the right side is about 1/4" from the side edge of the card base.

I took a piece of Petal Pink card stock and cut it at 3/4" x 4".  I punched the end of that one too.  It was more difficult to line up because the punch has slots for 2", 1-1/2" x 1".  I just slipped the strip in the punch and eyed it to try to get it as centered as possible.  

I stamped the words from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using black Memento ink.  I set it up in my Stamparatus so I could get it straight and stamped dark enough.

Next I took some Mossy Meadow Baker's twine from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and I made some loops on the front of the card and I attached them to the end of the Petal Pink strip using some snail tape.  

I fussy cut the flowers from the DSP. I could have used the matching die cut but I forgot I had it!  But they didn't take long to cut out anyway.  I set them in place using Dimensionals.  This also helps to keep the twine in place.

The leaves were die cut using Mossy Meadow card stock and are from the same die cut as the flower. They were in a bundle with the "Good Morning Magnolia" stamp set.  I die cut all four of the leaves in the set. I used a little bit of glue and set them in place.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was finished.

I think this is such a pretty looking card. It would be great for a birthday, thinking of you, Mother's Day, and a get well card.

Perennial Birthday, Marigold Lane, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Today I thought I would try a new layout. New to me anyway. I always thought this layout looked so pretty but it looked like a lot of work.  It really wasn't that bad and for you it will be a breeze because you will have the measurements!!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Now because I was using wider words, I had to cut my pieces a little smaller than I thought they needed to be.  For smaller, thinner wording you will need to make the following pieces longer on the sides.  Don't worry about the length of the bottom part of the triangle, it will take care of yourself.

I cut two pieces of Basic Black card stock that measured 3-1/2" on two sides.  I marked the sides lightly with a pencil. I lined up the pencil marks on my cutter and I cut the pieces at an angle. 

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Marigold Lane" 12" x 12" package and it was cut at 3-1/4" on two sides.  If you want a wider black border then cut the pieces at 3" on two sides.  If you are using thinner wording you will want to cut your card stock and DSP wider. 4" for the card stock and 3-3/4" or 3-1/2" for the DSP.  And you can go even larger if your words are super thin.  Though they might get lost and overtaken by the DSP.  I could have gone a little smaller here but it's okay, I like the looks of it as it is.  Okay, so I cut my card stock and DSP pieces. I taped them together.  I set them in place with a tiny little bit of snail tape, just so I could see where the words were going to go. I measured between the two center edges and I just divided that in half. I don't actually do math *insert laughter here*.  I take a piece of copier paper and I put an edge on one of the center sides and I mark the other side with my fingernail.  I then fold my copier paper from the edge to my fingernail mark and the fold is now my center.  See, SO easy and no math!!  Then I marked a few pencil dots using my fold like as my guide.  After marking a few dots I also marked the center of my stamp. If you have a clear stamp you can probably see the dots but the stamp from the "Perennial Birthday" set is red rubber. So I just marked on the stamps edge with my pencil so I could line up that mark with the marks on my card. I also had this set up in my Stamparatus. I'm not trusting my black Memento ink pad lately and I was right, it didn't stamp dark enough. So I just inked it up and stamped again.  I think it was dark enough after the second inking.

Then I took the corner pieces and I taped them in place.  And that was it.  Now that you have the measurements, and easy math for finding center, you can just whip these out and use up some of that card stock you are hoarding!!!  I may just set this back up in my Stamparatus (I shouldn't have removed the stamp after cleaning it. It was set up so I could crank out several cards UGH).  But it shouldn't be too difficult to set it up. I'll just put my finished card back on the Stamparatus and line up the stamp.  I have the measurements now and I'm going to dig into some retired DSP and see if I can't use it up!!

This is a fun card to make and I hope you will now find it fun and easy too!

Birthday Bonanza, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up! 2020 Spring Catalog

As I was looking through a pile of card stock and other stuff on my worktable, I ran across a packet of card stock and Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I thought I would make a card with them.  That was what they were intended for, I just never seem to get around to making cards with them.  But today I thought I would take one pack and make a card.  And this is what I came up with.

I took the 1/2 sheet of Purple Posy card stock.  It was fun to play with because it's very pretty. It's such a soft looking purple and I didn't buy any because it's an in color and I just don't have the funds to put into that.

The pack also has some DSP.  This DSP is from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper stack.  The DSP was cut 2" x 5-1/2".  I cut off 1/4" off the end so my piece measured 2" x 5".  

I cut a 2-1/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock to make a layer for the DSP.  I taped those two pieces together and I taped that to the front of the card.

I die cut a Rich Razzleberry using the "Stitched So Sweetly" dies.  These dies are SO fun. There's 6 scalloped rectangle ones and 4 of the different shaped ones. This is the second size of one of the different shaped ones.  All of the 4 are different shapes and sizes. 

I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" set using Rich Razzleberry ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  I die cut it using the second smallest "Stitched Circle" die.  I had to stamp this twice because the Rich Razzleberry ink didn't dry very well.  So I heat set the second one and made sure it was dry. I taped the circle to the Razzleberry die cut piece.

The packet also had the dotted ribbon in it, I cut the ends and folded it in the middle and taped it to the front of the card.  

I added Dimensionals to the die cut piece and set it in place on top of the card. 

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and the card was done.

It's a nice clean looking card.  Plus it was super easy and a great way to use up some of those strips of card stock.  This is one of the layouts I seem to use a lot anyway.  It's easy enough and at times you don't want to use up all of your DSP, so you can use a small piece of it on a card like this.   It was a fun cad to make!

Dandelion Wishes, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

While I was out picking some dandelions that have opened up, I thought about making a dandelion card using the "Dandelion Wishes" stamp set.  I was picking the ones that were opened because I needed them for a craft project.  Yup, you read that right. I will post it when it's done.  There's some drying out that will take time, so don't look for it to be here too soon.  I actually had to go to the neighbor's yard to get some puffy white ones.  We have a few in our yard but they are still yellow! I'm sure we will be pulling them out soon. I got what I needed and I will be starting the drying part tonight.

So, let's talk about my card. I wasn't going for quick and easy but it was!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.  My piece of card stock had some shapes punched out in the center of it.  I often punch or die cut pieces from the centers of quarter sheet pieces so I can still use them as a layer. 

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.  

I stamped the words from a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  The words are from the "Dandelion Wishes" set and they were stamped using black Memento ink.  I die cut them with the second smallest "Stitched Circle" die.  I also die cut a Coastal Cabana Scalloped circle for the layer.  I taped those two pieces together.

I set the circle layers on top of the Whisper White piece so I could see where I was going to stamp the dandelion image.  The image is to be stamped using Coastal Cabana but somehow I thought I was using Bermuda Bay and I stamped mine using Bermuda Bay. I bet you didn't notice the difference in color had I not told you.

After stamping, I added two small glue dots so I could get the white Baker's Twine to stick to the card.  I arranged them a little, adding a couple more glue dots.  Then I added Dimensionals to the word piece and I set it over the twine and some of the Dimensionals stuck to the twine too which will hold it down even more.

I found some round rhinestones from a Paper Pumpkin kit and I placed them on the front of the card.  You can use crystal rhinestones or sequins too.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I like how it looks even with the wrong ink color!!

Dandelion Wishes, Daisy Get Well Card

I thought I would make a get well card today and I found some pretty greet paper on the backside of the tulips images in the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.

The base of my card is a half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and is folded on the left.  

I die cut the DSP using the second largest "Stitched Rectangle Framelits" dies.  I taped it on top of the card base.  Centering it as much as I could.

Next I stamped the words from the "Dandelion Wishes" set using black Memento ink. I set it up in my Stamparatus in case I didn't get it dark enough.  And lo and behold, I did not get it dark enough. I ended up stamping it twice.  I love the Stamparatus.  It allows me to make better cards. My ink is as dark as I want it to be. It's nice and solid with no blotchy spots.  It gives my cards a more professional look.

I punched out two of each size of the Daisies. I used the large and the medium daisy punches and Whisper White card stock.

I curled the petals and then I glued them together. I opted for glue because it gives me some extra seconds to move the pieces around to get them to line up and fill in.  Once it was all glued and all set in place, I pressed the center in the palm of my hand to get the center to be a bit more indented which allowed the petals to pop up more.  I set the flower in place using two small glue dots.  One large one would do but that would have meant that I would have had to get up and go around my worktable to get them!!  Oh my! SO lazy!!!  LOL

I added the flower center using the "Perennial Essence Floral Centers". You get 18 of them in a container and of course I had to buy two containers and now I have a bunch of flower centers and they expire in 20 days!!!  I'm sure I will use them on other cards to sell at the craft fairs once they start up again next year.  I really doubt I will participate in one this year.  The flower center has it's own sticky piece.  I removed the backing and I set the flower center in place.  And the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make.  I like the layout and I may make more, I do have more DSP to use up because that retires in 20 days too!

Varied Vases, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

I found this pretty card on the internet.  You can see the original card here.  I liked the look of plus I wanted to make a card using the "Varied Vases" set because it's retiring at the end of the month.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Calypso Coral. 

On top of the base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blushing Bride card stock.  I textured it using the "Country Floral 3D" embossing folder.  I taped those two layer together.

I cut a 3" x 4" piece of Blushing Bride card stock and a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Calypso Coral card stock.  These will be taped together later.

I die cut the Whisper White stitched circle and a Calypso Coral scalloped circle.  The scalloped circle wasn't as large as I wanted it to be to show more around the edges of the Whisper White, so I offset it.  I set the pieces on top of each other to where I thought they looked good. I set it on top of the smaller Blushing Bride piece and I marked the back so on the right side so I could trim that side of the circle and scallop.  I set these pieces aside.

I stamped the vase from the "Varied Vases" set using black Memento ink on a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I  also stamped the scalloped image using black Memento ink and a different piece of DSP from the same pack.  I fussy cut the scalloped piece out and I punched the vase. 

I took a piece of scrap Old Olive and I stamped the leaves using black Memento ink. I stamped two. I punched them out and I set them aside.

I took the Whisper White piece and I set it up in my Stamparatus. I masked off 2/3's of the bottom so I could stamp the flower in the upper 1/3.  I used a small post it to mask it off so I wouldn't have that long stem showing. 

While the ink was drying, I stamped three tulips and punched them out.

I was now ready to assemble the flower piece. I set the vase in place using snail tape. I set it just under the flowers.  I set the colorful scalloped piece in place with snail tape.  I added small Dimensionals to the back of the tulips.  I colored in the stamped flowers using my light Daffodil Delight Blends pen.  I taped the leaves in place and then I set the tulips in place.

I took the smaller piece of Blushing Bride and stamped the words from the "Varied Vases" set using black Memento ink.  Then I taped that piece to the Calypso Coral layer.  I taped that to the front of the card.  I added the scalloped layer and the card was done.

I think it's a very pretty card. I did not play with this set as much as I would have liked to and it's going to be retiring.  I have learned a big lesson about stamp buying.  I do like stamps with dies and they are more expensive as a set, so I am going to limit myself to 3 or 4 sets in the new catalog and I will have to learn to play with what I have and make them work for different occasions.  I like stamp sets that are versatile and I will be on the lookout for those.  

We did not have our annual garage sale this year. Our neighborhood was quite. It was the first time in the 34 years that we've lived here that there were not garage sales. My garage and closet are full of boxes that were ready for the sale. I gather and price as I gather, all year long.  It will all just have to wait until next year.  So I will be putting my stamp sets in my web store and hope that I can sell some of them that way.

Under My Umbrella, Flourishing Phrases, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Today I threw together a quick and simple card.  It was quick for me because I found those flowers on my worktable from another project that I had cut too many but I didn't want to throw them out.  Saving them for another day and today was that day!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. 

I had found the textured "Stitched Nested Labels" die cut piece. I had made it for another project but I had changed my mind on and I had set it aside for another day too!  I set it on top of the card base but I didn't like how it looked so plain, so I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and taped it onto the card base.

I set up the textured piece in my Stamparatus. Oh, I had textured it using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  I used the words from the "Flourishing Phrases" set using black Memento ink.  I was glad I set it up in my Stampartus because it didn't stamp very dark on the texture.  If you are making this card and have to add your texture, stamp your words first and then texture.  I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.

I took the flowers that were sitting around. The are from the "Under My Umbrella" set and I was going to use them on this card but I didn't need to cut and color as many pieces as I did.  I thought they fit nicely in opposite corners. I just glued them in place.

I sprinkled some "Iridescent Sequins" around to see if I liked it and I just glued them in place where they had landed. And the card was done.

I like having pieces from other projects left sitting around and yet I don't.  I don't like them sitting around but they come in handy when making a quick card.  But then again, not always.  You need to have an idea as to how to work them into a card!!  Such a dilemma!!! LOL  My workroom is always a mess, it's unorganized and full! So when I run across something, it was long forgotten and buried under something! You never know what you will find in my workroom!

Anyway, even without finding the pieces cut and colored, this card wouldn't take long to make.

Witty-Cisms, Graduation Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I SO love using this layout. It's one of my favorite.  Especially when it comes to smaller images.  Though this image with words on the same stamp was not small until I separated the words from it. Then I had the perfect size image for this card.  I was surprised when I saw that this set was not going to be in the new catalog.  This is one of the Million Dollar achiever's set.  Those who sell a million dollars in products get to help design a stamp set and it's in the catalog.  This one made it to the spring mini and I thought for sure it would be in the catalog.  It was short lived for this achiever.  I liked this set because of the baby carriage and the graduation, plus it had a fun retirement one too.  I wonder what will replace it???

Anyway, here's my card and here is how I made it.

My card base is a half-sheet of Pool Party.  I cut the card stock on the 8-1/2" side so this card is folded at the top at 5-1/2" and the opening is at the bottom.

The whisper White piece that is on top of it measures 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".  This piece is taped directly to the top of the card base.

I cut a 3" x 4-1/8" piece of Pool Party card stock and a 2-7/8" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  My DSP is from the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" pack.

This part is VERY important.  Add just a little bit of tape about where you think the hole will be punched.  You are adding the tape just to hold the two pieces together so they don't move on you while you punch.  I took my old whale punch, the 1-1/4" one and I dropped the taped piece to the bottom. I eyed each side to see that they were as equal as possible and I punched out the circle. 

Now take the DSP piece and add a piece of copier paper behind it. It is nearly impossible to punch a nice circle without some support behind the DSP.  I used the 1-3/8" circle punch and I lined up the hole from the 1-1/4" punch and punched a small ring from the DSP.  You will now have a pretty circle layer behind the DSP. Make sure you keep the two pieces facing front. If your hole is off a bit, it will show a lot if you had flipped your piece.  Unless you got it perfectly centered.  If you got it perfectly centered than I humbly bow to you!  I am always off by a hair.  Next add snail tape to the DSP and set the DSP on top of the Pool Party card stock, lining up the holes. Refer to the photo.  You want a nice border around the edges and around the circle.  

I took the graduation cap from the "Witty-Cisims" set and I masked off the words. I stamped the image only on a piece of Whisper White card stock that measured somewhere around 2" x 2".  You just want to make sure it's big enough so you can affix it to the back of the circle.

The image is attached to the back of the circle using Dimensionals.

A ribbon is added. If you don't want to add words, you can move the ribbon down and center it between the circle and the edge of the card stock.  I added words to mine, so I masked off the cap and stamped only the words.  I cut them to 1-1/2" x 5/8".  And I cut a scrap piece of Pool Party to measure 1-5/8" x 3/4". I taped those two layers together and set them aside.  To add the ribbon, I just cut it 4" long and taped the ends to the backside. I start out with snail in case I need to move them to make them equal and even.  Then I use Scotch tape to hold them down.  I slipped a piece of ribbon (still on the spool) under the ribbon I taped down and I tied a knot.  I cut the end from the spool and trimmed the ends. I like this kind of bow/knot because you can slide it where you want it.  I slide mine and then I slip a small glue dot under it to make sure it's not going to go anywhere. Though with a tight knot it shouldn't go anywhere anyway!

I added Dimensionals to the back of the DSP layers. Where the image piece is, I added snail tape there and I set the piece in place on top of the Whisper White piece that is already taped onto the card base.

I added the words to the front using Dimensionals.  A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of  Whisper White was added to the inside and the card was done. 

SO darn cute and I just love this layout.
