The new "Welcome Easter" set is fun to play with. I did make one Easter card and the other cards I've made with this set have been baby cards. What a fun set and you know I love versatile sets.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue. I taped that piece to the card base.
Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White for the front.
I stamped and die cut the sheep. I colored it in using my Blends pens. I used light Smoky Slate, light Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Dark Basic Black.
I set the lamb on top of my piece to see where I was going to do my sponging. I found the center area where the lamb was to be set and I started sponging with Balmy Blue. Every time I inked up the sponge, I started in the very center where the lamb would hide it. I didn't want to just start where I left off or it would be too dark and hard to get blended in.
I also sponged a thick line where I was going to put the words. I taped this piece on top of the Balmy Blue piece.
The words are from the "Hoot Hoot Hooray" set. I masked off the teddy bear on a rocking horse so I could just stamp the words. I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch.
I set the lamb and the words in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a fun and easy card to make. I SO love sponging and how it can really make an image on a card pop.
Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to visit today. I hope you are all well and safe,
Wanda

Thanks for the great idea! I have that set and those little guys are so cute!
What a neat idea, Wanda, to begin sponging in the center. Great tip! Thank you.
