Positive Thoughts, Here's a Card, Detailed Bands, Birthday Card, One Sheet Wonder Technique

While looking at some fun cards on Pinterest, I ran across one that used the old "One Sheet Wonder" technique.  You can see that card here.

I had not done the One Sheet Wonder technique in a very long time.  So I got out a sheet of Whisper White car stock.  I now wished I had not used a whole sheet. It was kind of hard to get the images squished in enough to look full.  I ended up added a few more butterflies to mine to get it to look fuller.  I will probably put the rest of that sheet in recycling. I did ruin a half of it by trying to fill in some of the gaps. It looks like I tried to fill in some of the gaps!!! LOL

So here is what I ended up with.

I cut the One Sheet Wonder piece to 2-1/8" x 5-1/2".

I cut a piece of Pear Pizzaz card stock to 2-3/8" x 5-1/2".  I taped those two pieces together and then taped them to the card base.  My card base is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.

I die cut the fancy frame for the words using the "Detailed Bands" dies and Pear Pizzazz card stock.

I taped the words to the fancy frame and then I added taped the frame on the sides and center and set it in place on top of the card.

The card was done. It's a quick way to make a fancy looking card.  I think I'd like to try the One Sheet Wonder again sometime using a different stamp set or maybe a smaller piece of Whisper White card stock.  Maybe I'd figure out how big I want my piece of card stock to be first and then cut it to suit my needs and then stamp.  I'll have to experiment and share my results with you then.

Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
