Peaceful Moments, Perennial essence, Friendship Card

Are you ready to make a super fast and yet elegant looking card?  Just read this post and you will find that it took you longer to read it than it did to make the card!

I was looking at my Designer Series Paper (DSP) packages and I pulled out the "Perennial Essence" pack and saw a bunch of small strips in it.  And I thought I should see if I could use them on a card and here is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. My card stock was cut on the short side. My piece measured 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it.  The fold is at the top. This card opens at the bottom.

I took a piece of my DSP and it measured  4-1/4" x 1-3/4".  You can make yours wider or narrower if that is what you have on hand. I think any size smaller than 2" would work just fine.

I cut a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and then I taped the DSP to it.

I taped the two pieces to the top of the card base.  Mine is about 3/8" from the top of the card (where the fold is).

I set the card in my Stamparatus so I could stamp the words nice and straight. The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I did have to stamp them twice to get them nice and dark and solid.  I usually set most of my stamping up in the Stamparatus now. I find I make much better cards doing that.  Once the words were stamped, the card was done.

See, I told you it was a super quick card.  Very easy and elegant too!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
