I found this pretty card on Pinterest and I just had to make it. I LOVE sponging. I think it was one of the first "techniques" in stamping that I learned. I think I sponged all the edges the cards I made for months!!! I get carried away sometimes! LOL You can see the original card here. I did change the wording.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Mango Melody. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Whisper White card stock. I die cut a circle in the upper middle of one of the pieces. I used that piece as my template. I taped the two pieces onto my work surface and then I sponged on some Daffodil Delight. I did cover the entire circle with it.

I used Mango Melody on the top and middle of the circle. And then I colored the upper part of the circle using Calypso Coral ink. I did lightly bring down a little of both colors into the Daffodil Delight. I only did that a couple of times and lightly.
I left the template on and then stamped the flowers from the "Painted Poppies" set using black Memento ink.
I removed the template and stamped the words. They are from the "Peaceful Moments" set using black Memento ink.
I taped the Whisper White piece to the Mango Melody piece. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done. As quick and easy as that.
I just love the sponging. I will try not to make all my cards this week with sponged images!!! I'll try!! LOL
