Music From the Heart, Pleased as Punch, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

Today I wanted to make a cheery card.  Something with bright pretty flowers. And this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Granny Apple Green card stock.  This card was cut on the short side at 4-1/4". It measures 4-1/4" x 11".  I scored it at 5-1/2" and folded it on the score line.

I die cut the large stitched rectangle using the "Rectangle Stitched" framelits dies.

Next I die cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Pleased as Punch" 12" x 12" pack.  I thought the green would be a nice background for flowers.  I taped it to the Whisper White piece and I taped them to the front of the card.

I die cut a square from the "Stitched Shapes" framelits dies using Whisper White card stock.

I also die cut a rectangle from the "Rectangle Stitched" framelits dies using Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the words from the "Music From the Heart" set using black Memento ink. I set it aside to dry.

I took a piece of DSP from the "Pleased as Punch" pack and punched out the flowers using the "Small Bloom" punch.  It was a Sale-a-Bration item and if you don't have it, you can fussy cut the flowers. I have five of them on my card.

I set the square in place using Dimensionals. I made sure the top and sides were equal distance apart, or close to equal.

I set the flowers in place in a circle on the stitched square using Dimensionals.

I took my word piece and set it in place using Dimensionals.

And for the final touch I added tiny pearls to the center of each flower.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I love the colors of this card. It's got a welcoming spring look to it.  I'm hoping to look out my window tomorrow and see all of the snow gone. There's still patches of it on the ground here in Minnesota.  I am SO done with it.  It was gone but on Easter Sunday we were blessed with 4" of the white stuff and the days that followed it was cold so it didn't melt very fast. Oh and then there were a couple of days that there was a dusting of snow.  UGH!!!  I need spring and flowers and sunshine and the smell of the blossoms on the trees.  I need something pretty to look at outside while I'm indoors trying to keep busy. Not that I don't have plenty to do, I just am not interested in doing it. And with that said, I'm going to gaze at my card some more and feel that fun summery feeling!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda
