I really like this "Beautiful Friendship" stamp set but have not played with it much. Once again I had purchased too many sets and don't give them the time I should. I said I wouldn't buy so many the next time and when the spring stamps came out I ordered too many, again! But with the new catalog coming out and with what is going on in the world, my shopping will be more limited. So maybe I will be buying just the exact amount of sets that will get used more often.
But for today's card, here's how I made it.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of the thicker Whisper White card stock. The color is a little different and so is the texture. It's not as smooth as the regular Whisper White, so it absorbs ink differently. I didn't stamp on it, so I didn't have to think about the ink absorbency part.
I cut a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock (not the thicker stuff). I stamped the roses from the "Beautiful Friendship" set using Grapefruit Grove ink. I didn't buy the in colors but I did get a cube in one of my Paper Pumpkin kits. It was a bit dry, so I sprayed it gently with 4 spritz of distilled water. You always want to use distilled water because tap water has elements in it that could make your ink pad become moldy or smell or both!
Next I stamped the leaves using Soft Sea Foam ink. Then I added the flower centers using the Pumpkin Pie ink pad.
The stemmed images in the right corner were stamped using Cajun Craze ink.
The words are from the same set and I used Cajun Craze ink to stamp them too.
I cut a Cajun Craze piece of card stock at 3-1/2" x 4-1/2". I taped the two layers together and then I set the piece in place on the center of the card base using Dimensionals. And the card was done.
I like the clean and simple look of this card.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by,
Wanda
