Oh my gosh! I just love the looks of this card I found on Pinterest. I was looking for a cheery flowery card and when I saw this I knew I had to make one. My granddaughter's birthday is next month so I thought I would make it for her. I'm still ahead on my card making this year!!! You can see the original card here. I was not able to find a link to the card so I had to guess at colors and sizes.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
The layer on top of the base is cut 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". The original card was cut 4" x 5-1/4". I thought it should be just a little bit smaller. I do like this look better.

I die cut the circle using the second largest stitched circle. I cut it using Whisper White card stock.
I stamped the packages from the "Bonanza Buddies" set using Bermuda Bay ink. I stamped the tall one that is under the lion. I stamped it on it's side. Then I stamped taller one using the same stamp without inking it up again. I stamped the smaller package image using Daffodil Delight ink. I fussy cut the package. I stamped the ties to the packages using Bermuda Bay ink.

Next I stamped the lion. I stamped the body using Daffodil Delight. The mane and the tail were stamped using Mango Melody. I used Pumpkin Pie at first but it was a bit too dark. And I stamped the hat using Bermuda Bay ink. I die cut all the pieces. I took the face piece and stamped the eyes and nose using the small stamp that came with the set using black Memento ink. I glued the pieces in place. Don't forget the tail! I set them in place on the circle using Dimensionals. Except for the hat, I added the Dimensionals after I was done doing the balloons. Set the lion in place on the circle.
Then I set the circle on the front of my card so I could see where to put the balloon strings. I stamped them using black Memento ink.
The balloons were stamped using Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped the left balloon first and then I stamped the second balloon without inking the image again. And the third balloon was stamped using Bermuda Bay ink.
Once again I set the circle on the front of the card. I lined it up where the balloon strings and the lions arm meet. I needed to see where the words were to go. The words were stamped using black Memento ink. I love the font of these words.
Once the stamping was done, I set the circle in place using Dimensionals. I did add two Dimensionals to the hat. I just stuck them to each other and put it on the back of the hat. When I set the circle in place, the hat had some stability because of the two Dimensionals. And that was it.
Isn't it just too stinkin' cute? I love the look of this card and now I'm ready for my granddaughter's birthday. I ordered her gift from Amazon. She wanted a Barbie car for her one and only Barbie doll. So we ordered her another Barbie doll and some clothes. I made sure I ordered the stuff early because things like that are taking longer to deliver. You hate to disappoint the children during these trying times. You try to make it seem as normal as possible without scaring them. Who knows what runs through their little heads. When they come to visit on Sundays we just do the normal things we did before the world changed. We just have fun and play games and do crafts. Anyway, this is her card and I think she will like it.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
Very cute card!
