Well Dressed, Little Ladybug, Masculine Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration

I followed yesterday's card layout and thought I would try it with the new set I got on Thursday. I haven't had time to play with it because I've been sewing masks for our local hospital. I had to quit after a thumb issue. I had a run in with a chair and my nail bent back about 1/4", ripped from the nail bed.  I spoke French!!  Like a trucker!!! LOL  It stings so bad. I sewed for a while last night but I had to stop because every time I removed a pin I would forget that I shouldn't be using my thumb.  I took one for the team!!! I have 25 masks to deliver. I wish it were more. Hopefully, well not really, they might want more and open up some more days in the near future. I say well, not really because I don't want more cases to develop.  But I will volunteer again if need be.

But today I played with the new set. It's kind of sad because it's a Sale-a-Bration set and Sale-a-Bration ends on the 31st.  SO tomorrow's card may be made using this set too.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the image from the "Well Dressed" set on the piece using Balmy Blue ink. I stamped it across the card 4 times. I didn't get it quite straight but if you don't look too hard you won't really notice.  I know you are now looking!!! LOL

I textured the card stock using the "Subtle" embossing folder.  It gives it the look of linen card stock. Fun and a great texture for a guy card.

I sponged some Balmy Blue on the textured piece to give it a bit of color and make the texture show more.

I stamped the words from the "Little Ladybug" set using Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then I die cut it with the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies.

I set the piece in my Stamparatus and I stamped the neck tie. I was glad I set it up in there because my pad is a bit dry. I did have to ink it twice.

I colored the collar and the white spaces on the tie with my Balmy Blue maker.   I set it aside.

I stamped the hat from the same set and I fussy cut it out. I colored it using the Dark Crumb Cake Blends pen.

I set the Stitched Nested Label piece in place using Dimenisonals.  Then I added the hat using Dimensionals on the right side and some snail tape on the left.   And that was it.  Super simple, quick and a great guy card.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda
