I was looking at some fun cards on Pinterest and on one I saw the textured brick background so I thought I would give it a try. I liked how it was done only on half of the card front.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I textured the right side using the brick embossing folder. I sponged the edges using Crumb Cake ink but only where the the texturing was done. I also ran the sponge across the top of the texture so some of the bricks would stand out better than others.
Next I stamped the flower from the "Painted Poppies" set using black Memento ink.
Then I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink as well.
I colored the flower using the light and dark Poppy Parade Blends pens and the Old Olive, light and dark Blends Pens.
I inked up the splat image from the "Painted Poppies" set using Crumb Cake ink. I stamped off once so the splat would be nice and light but still visible!
I took the Stitched Rectangle die and die cut the flower and words out. I also cut a 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and taped the stitched piece to it.

I set the flower layered piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. And the card was done.
This was a very quick and simple card to make. I can see myself making more using this layout.
Thank you for taking the time to visit today,
