Today's card was a pretty simple one to make. I like those clean and simple looking cards. I found this layout here. I changed the orientation only because my flower faced the left.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
The top layer was cut at 5-1/2" x 3-3/4".
I cut a strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 5-1/2" x 3/8".
I sponged the bottom corner of the top layer using Bermuda Bay ink.
I stamped the flower from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set using black Memento ink. I colored the leaves and stem using both the light and dark Blends pens.
I colored in the flower using the light Bermuda Bay Blends pen and I sponged in the rest of the flower using Bermuda Bay ink.
The word is from the "Here's a Card" set. I stamped it using black Memento ink.
I taped a 3/8" x 5-1/2" piece of DSP from the "Lily Impressions" 12" x 12" pack that is available as a Sale-a-Bration item. I have not used any of the pieces in this pack and at 3/8" it will take forever to use it up!!! LOL When I taped the strip down I used my grid paper to help me line up the strip evenly. I ran snail across the back of the Whisper White piece and using the grid as a guide, I slowly and gently set the strip in place. Without the grid I might have gotten it crooked.

I taped a 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White to the back of the piece to give it some more stability, especially on the DSP side. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the card base. And that was it. Pretty easy. The toughest part was getting that strip on and using a grid made that part easy too!
I really like how this card looks and I think I'd like to try this layout again sometime. Maybe using something die cut in the corner???
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
