Bonanza Buddies, Birthday Bonanza, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog

I still had the "Bonanza Buddies "stamp set sitting out (no big surprise there, is it?  LOL) so I thought I'd play with it and get a different set out for tomorrow.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I had some scrap pieces from the "Birthday Bonanza" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  They were cut 1-3/4" x 3-7/8" each.  I taped them at the bottom part of the card. I just made the space equally all around.  That left a large opening at the top but I managed to figure out how to make it look like the pieces of DSP weren't too small.  I just wanted to use up those pieces and I sure did!

I cut a 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock for the layer.

I die cut the koala bear from the "Birthday Bonanza" DSP 12" x 12" pack.  I set him on the Whisper White square so I could see where I needed to stamp the balloon strings.  I set this up in my Stamparatus so I could get it exactly where I want and as dark as I wanted too.

After stamping the strings, I taped the piece to the Bermuda Bay square.  

I stamped the balloons and the hat on Whisper White card stock. I used Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry ink.  I die cut all of them.

I set the Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay balloons in place using a bit of glue. I also glued the brim of the hat to the head of the Koala and the pom pom. I set these aside.

I took the word piece from some pieces I had left over in my latest Paper Pumpkin kit.  But you can cut your own.  Cut your Whisper White piece 5/8" x 2-3/4" and cut the ends to look like ribbon ends.  The piece was too light and got lost in the DSP, so I cut a 7/8" x 3" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock for the layer.  I set that aside.

I took the square piece and and added the Flirty Flamingo balloon, setting it in place using a Dimensional.  I set the Koala bear in place using Dimensionals and I added a small one to the back of the hat.  Line him up so his hands cover the strings.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the squares layer and set it in place on the card. I centered the tips so they were equal on the sides and about 1/4" down from the top.

Then I added the words using Dimensionals and the card was done.

I have had SO much fun with this set. I am thinking about ordering another package of the DSP. I think this set makes great children's cards and using the DSP and dies make them quick to do too!
