Sailing Home, Flourishing Phrases, Sympathy Card

I was thrilled to find this card on Pinterest.  You can see the original here. I made a small change.

I had taken my February 2020 Paper Pumpkin cards and cut them so I ended up with nine printed pieces of card stock to do something with later.  I had made a card using the rose colored piece a few days back.  You can see that card here.  And I set the other eight pieces of card stock aside to play with at a later date.  Well, today was that later date!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens at the right side and the fold is on the left.

On top of card base is the card stock piece from the Paper Pumpkin kit that I cut at 4" x 5-1/2".  I used snail to set it in place.

I used the "High Seas" 3D embossing folder on a piece of Whisper White card stock that was cut 4" x 2".  Scrap pieces work well for this.  I taped that on top of the card base about 1-1/2" from the edge of the bottom of the card.

The large circle was a punched out piece from a card in the kit.  The piece was punched out so the layer had that shaped opening.  I kept the punched out pieces.  I used on on the card I made last week and I used the other two to make two of these cards.  I stamped the sail boat from the "Sailing Home" set using Shaded Spruce ink. I'm not sure what ink was suppose to match this.  None of the colors I had matched exactly but the Shaded Spruce was the closest so I went with it. I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the"Flourishing Phrases" set.  I have a feeling this pretty set will be retiring this year.  I hope not but it's been around for two years now and that seems to be about the norm for Stampin' Up! stamp sets.  I die cut the words using the third (out of 4) stitched ovals from the "Stitched Shapes" framelets pack.  I added snail to the left side and a couple of small Dimensionals to the right side and I set the words in place on the front of the card.

That is all there was to making this card. I liked it because it was very pleasing to the eye and it was quick and easy to make too.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
