Here's another card I made using the "Happy Birthday to You" 2020 Sale-a-Bration set. I am starting to like this cake image more and more. I especially LOVE the font!!!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that I layered some Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the ""Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper stack. I want to try to use larger pieces from there but these fell out when I picked up the pack, so I ran with them.
The flowery one measures 3-1/2" x 2" with a 3-3/8" x 2-1/8" layer of Whisper White behind it.
The dotted layer measures 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" with a 3-3/8" x 1-7/8" piece of Whisper White behind it. I taped those two layers to the front of the card. The floral one is 1/4" from the side and 1/4" from the top.
I taped the dotted layer to the floral layer. It's 1-1/4" from the folded edge of the card base and 1" from the top edge of the card base.
I stamped the cake using black Memento ink in Whisper White card stock.
Next I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday to You" set using black Memento ink. I did set it up in my Stamparatus so I could add more ink to the stamp if I had to and I did have to. My ink pad was a little dryer than I like it.
I fussy cut the cake out. The ink had a little time to dry so it didn't smear when I cut it out.
I colored in the flowers using both light and dark Petal Pink Blends pens. I colored the leaves with the light Old Olive Blends pen. I colored in the center of the flowers with the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen. I colored the cake with the light Daffodil Delight Blends pen. And I colored the cake stand using the light Smoky Slate Blends pen.
I set the cake in place using Dimenisonals and the card was done.
Such a fun card and I LOVE the DSP.
