I found this fun card on the internet. I thought it was SO cute plus it used some pretty busy Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I thought I would have trouble working with. It's just perfect here!
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 2" x 4-3/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock that was textured using the "Corrugated" embossing folder. And next to it is a 2" x 4-3/4" piece of DSP from the "Birthday Bonanza" 12" x 12" package. The DSP was taped down first and then the Bermuda Bay piece. I taped the DSP and glued the Bermuda Bay. I don't feel that tape holds that texture very well. Plus pushing down with the tape runner can flatten the texture in parts.
I die cut the tag. There's a die cut in the "Bonanza" dies pack. I stamped the words on it from the "Bonanza Buddies" stamp set and I set it aside while I worked on the Koala bear.
I stamped the bear using Smoky Slate ink. I set it up in my Stamparatus so I could get a nice solid image. I stamped him twice. Then I die cut him out. I also stamped the hat using Poppy Parade ink and I die cut that out too. I glued the hat to the head and set it aside.
I took some Bermuda Bay ribbon (mine is retired) and I cut a piece and slipped it through the opening of the tag. I took a clip and pinched the two ends so I could have my hands free to tie the bow using Baker's Twine.
I set the tag in place using Dimensionals.
Then I set the Koala bear in place using Dimensionals. I added a pom pom to the tip of the hat and the card was done.
This was a very fun, easy and quick card to make.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
