Bonanza Buddies, Birthday Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog

I found this fun card on Pinterest. I would do it a little different than I did here if I were to make another one.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of the "Birthday Bonanza" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Before taping it to the card base, die cut the banner from the center of the piece.

I die cut a piece of Whisper White card stock using the largest "Stitched Rectangles" die.  I also cut a piece of copier paper to the same size.

I measured and marked the holes by taking a piece of scrap copier paper and making sure I had two thicknesses, I punched a hole.  I folded the circle in half and I folded the scrap rectangle in half so I could line up the fold lines and find center to make the hole. I added another piece of scrap copier paper behind the hole area and I punched them both out. Then I took the other scrap circle and with my scrap rectangle folded in half and placed the circle to the side of the punched circle, making sure that there was equal space on each side of the circle. I traced the circle (or you can tape it in place) and I punched the folded piece circles together.  I opened up the folded piece and traced the circles on my die cut Whisper White piece.  I hope that makes sense.

I should have added a scrap piece of Crushed Curry behind the circles but I forgot and just taped the Whisper White piece on top of the DSP.

I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" set using black Memento ink.

I stamped, die cut and assembled the cute animals from the "Bonanza Buddies" set.  I glued the pieces in place.

I die cut the other banner and I glued both banners in place.

Then I set the animals in place using snail tape.

I added the pompoms to the hat and that was it.

This was a fun and easy card to make but I wish I would have paid better attention to the card stock behind the circles, it really did make the opening look better. But it is what it is!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
