Witty-Cisms, Graduation Card, Stampin' Up! 2020 Spring Catalog

I took yesterday's layout and turned it sideways to make this card work.  I was originally going to have it the same orientation but once I got everything cut I could see that it wasn't going to work.  So I turned the card and viola, I could still make this card with the ribbon strip piece.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Mint Macaron card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pacific Point card stock. And on top of that is the Whisper White piece cut 5" x 3-3/4".

I cut a 1-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Best Dressed" 6" x 6" paper pack.  This design is on the backside of a piece that has different purses on it.  I didn't care much for that side but I figured I could use the striped side.  There's also another striped one in the pack in different colors and the other side is perfumes.  I didn't buy the set that coordinates with this DSP but I LOVED the floral images in it and that's why I purchased it.  Anyway, back to the strip. I cut it 4-1/2" long and then I punched the ends using the "Triple Banner" punch.  I taped the DSP to the card, centering it as best as I could.

Then I die cut a piece of Pacific Point card stock using the new "Stitched So Sweetly" dies.  They are stitched dies and the pack also included 3 other shaped dies and 6 scalloped rectangle dies.  I taped that on top of the DSP strip.

I stamped the graduation image from the new "Witty-Cisms" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.

I die cut the image using the second smallest stitched circle die.

I colored the cap in using a blender pen and my Pacific Point marker.

I added an enamel dot I had because the card stock had a manufacture's defect in it.  There was a spot on it and I didn't catch it before I stamped the image.  So all I could do was cover it.  There was no point in stamping another one and coloring again, I knew I could hide it easy enough to yet look like a graduation card for a guy!

I set the circle in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy graduation card to make.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
