Today I thought I would play with the "Happy Birthday to You" set. It's one of the new 2020 Sale-a-Bration sets. I've seen some pretty cards made with it. I may be giving some of them a try soon.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight.
I stamped the cake image on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink. I stamped two of them so I could cut one of them up. Don't you hate it when you stamp the images and both turn out perfect and you have to cut one of them up? LOL I cut the flowers from one of the stamped images.
Then I stamped the words from the same set using black Memento ink.
I colored the cake using the light Daffodil Delight Blends pen and then I colored on the lines and sides using the dark Daffodil Delight pen.
I colored the flowers using the light Petal Pink Blends pen. I added some highlights using the dark Petal Pink pen.
I colored the berries and buds using both light and dark Flirty Flamingo Blends pens.
And the leaves were colored in using both light and dark Old Olive Blends pens.

I also colored the cake holder plate thing using the light Smoky Slate Blends pen.
I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals.
Then I took my Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo markers (not Blends pens) and flecked on some splatter colors. I thought the background was just too blah, it needed something.
I added some round rhinestones that I had left over from one of the Paper Pumpkin kits.
I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and it was done.
It was fun to color. Once in a while I get in the mood to color and today I was in the mood!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
