Today I found a pretty card on Pinterest that used the "Good Morning Magnolia" set and of course now I can't find it to link it to my blog. If I find it I will add the link update the info. I do like to give credit where credit is due.
I wanted to make another "thinking of you" card because in a few weeks after sending the first one, I like to send another one. It arrives about the time where everyone has left and the loneliness starts to set in. Just letting someone know that you are thinking about them helps.
So here's how I made this card. The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petal Pink card stock. This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.
On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock, but I did not tape it down yet. And on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of the "Magnolia Lane" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I cut the DSP at 3" for the bottom part and the top part is the remainder of the DSP but turned over. I taped those two pieces to the Basic Black piece. I taped a piece of black ribbon around the part where the two pieces of DSP meet. I taped the edges on the back and then I taped the two pieces together.
Next I stamped the words from the "Good Morning Magnolia" using black Memento ink. I set it up in my Stamparatus so I could make sure I got the words as crisp and dark as I wanted them. Once I was done stamping, I taped the piece to the front of the card.
Then I punched out the flower from another piece of DSP using the 1-7/8" circle die cut. And at the same time I die cut a scalloped circle using Petal Pink card stock. I taped those two pieces together and I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. And the card was done. Though I did add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside to write on.
I thought it was a very pretty card and I will put it in a safe place so I don't lose it! Wish me luck on that one! LOL

Pretty card today, Wanda. I didn't get the magnolia bundle. This card is perfect to use the awesome paper without the dies. Enjoy the weekend.
