I just discovered that I had purchased two packages of the "Perennial Essence" Designer Series Paper" (DSP) and I thought I should try to use it in my cards more. I know I have until sometime in late May or early June to use it up but with the new stuff coming and so many other things to make, I will probably forget about the paper and end up not using it. So I'm going to make a conscious effort to use it.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Seaside Spray card stock.
Then I cut the DSP to 2-1/2" x 4-1/8" and I cut a 2-5/8" x 4-1/4"piece of Night of Navy card stock for the layer. I taped those two pieces together and I taped that to the Seaside Spray piece. I lined up the top, left and bottom so they were pretty equal.
I punched out two of the large flowers using the "Daisy" punch. I punched out four of the smaller ones using the "Medium Daisy" punch. I paired them up and taped the centers. I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I added some "Faceted Gems" to the center of each flower.
Then I die cut three of the gold glitter "things" (what are they???) from the "Flourishing Phrases" bundle. The dies are called "Flourish" thinlits. I added glue to the ends and slid them in place under the flowers.
Then I punched three leaves using Shaded Spruce card stock and the "Leaf" punch. I added glue to the ends of each and slipped them in place under the flowers.
The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I used Night of Navy ink to stamp them on Whisper White card stock and I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I set them in place using Dimensionals.
I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White piece to the inside for writing on.
I really like the "Flourishing Phrases" set and I have a feeling it will be retiring this year.
I like the looks of this card. I think it's the DSP that really sets this card off.
