Bonanza Buddies, Magnolia Lane, Birthday Card, Gift Card Holder, 2020 Sale-a-Bration

Today I'm going to share with you a gift card holder.  I'm not sure if I like how it looks on the inside but I'm sure to the one receiving it won't care!  It's very easy to make and a great way to use up some of your Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Or you can always use card stock, it's designed for both.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The card stock was cut in half on the 8-1/2" side so the piece measures 4-1/4" x 11".

I cut a 5-1/2" x 3" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and I centered and taped it to the front of the card.  

Then I cut a piece of DSP 2-3/4" x 11".  Because the DSP was cut at this length, you can also use a piece of card stock that measures 11" long as well.  I scored the DSP at 5-1/2", 9" and 10-1/2".  The 10-1/2" score is optional.  You can leave it and have a longer front pocket that you can just have the backside of the DSP show your you can tape or glue a 1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of card stock or any other DSP to that part.  I opted to fold the piece backwards so the same image on the front shows on the "cuff" part.  

For the folding, you will fold the first score as a mountain fold and the second score as a valley fold and the third as a mountain.  

Grab your glue, yes, glue.  You need something very strong to hold the two small sides of the pocket.  Tear n Tape is strong but not as strong as glue.  I glued the pocket shut and set it under my stamping mat to firm up and dry a bit while I worked on the front part of the card.

I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" using Mossy Meadow ink and then I die cut them using the second largest "Stitched Circle" die cut.  I cut a Mossy Meadow scalloped oval to fit the circle with the words.  I taped those two circles together and set them in place on the front using Dimensionals.

I took some pink sequins from the "Iridescent Sequin Assortment" pack and glued them in place on the card.  I wanted to color some small pearls with a Blends Pen and use those instead but I was going to be mailing this and didn't want to pay the extra for postage.

I slipped a gift card in the pocket and the card is now ready to mail.  

This is a very quick and easy gift card holder to make.  A card and a gift holder in one.  Such a deal!!
