I'm SO loving these words from the "Bonanza Buddies" 2020 Sale-a-Bration catalog. I wanted to see how they would look using them in a more adult card than with the cute little animals it came with. And I LOVE it! It works well with kids and adult cards.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. The card stock was cut on the short side at 4-1/4" so the card is 4-1/4" x 11" long and then folded in half. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.
The card base was textured using the "Layered Leaves 3D" embossing folder. I didn't emboss all the way up, just about 2/3's of it. You can emboss the whole thing if you want.
I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magnolia Lane" 12" x 12" paper pack. I cut the DSP 2-3/4" x 3-3/4".
I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the back layer. It measures 3" x 4". I taped the DSP to this piece. I taped them to the upper part of the card.
I stamped the words from the "Bonanza Buddies" Sale-a-Bration set using Whisper White card stock and Mossy Meadow ink. I die cut them using the second to the largest "Stitched Circles" dies. I also die cut a circle Scallop a bit larger than the stitched circle. I taped those two layers together.
I fussy cut a flower from the DSP and I set the flower in place on the bottom right of the circle using both snail tape (on the part that touches the circle) and Dimensionals (that touch the card base). And that was it, the card was done.
This was a very simple and quick card to make. When I was working on the card I had it in my head that I was using Shaded Spruce card stock instead of Mossy Meadow so I stamped the words in Shaded Spruce. When I was assembling the card I thought the color of the words looked odd. I thought my ink pad was off. Then it dawned on me that it was the wrong ink. Oh and I had already taped it to the scalloped circle. So I slowly and carefully removed it from the scalloped circle and stamped and die cut new ones using Mossy Meadow ink. I must be tired, I don't usually make those kinds of mistakes. But I did learn to pay better attention!!! Maybe! LOL
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
