Let it Snow, Hershey Nugget Candy Holder, Weekend Project

I found a fun video in You Tube that shows how to make this candy holder. The original one shows how to make it for the small Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  I didn't have any but I did have Hershey Nuggets.  SO I adjusted the size.  I will give you the measurements to this one.  You can see the video here. 

The box piece here measures 7-1/2" x 4-1/2".  I scored the piece on the long side at 2-1/2" 4" and 6-1/2".  And on the short side you will need to score at 3/4" on each end.  I cut the Designer Series Paper from the "Let it Snow" 12" x 12" paper pack. 

I cut my DSP for the front, back and flap. The pieces were cut 2-3/4" x 2-1/4".  You need two of that size.  And for the flap you will need one cut 2-3/4" x 3/4".  

Go to the video and see how to fold the box up.  You will need to make a score on the side that will help form the box. 

Once the box is taped, tape the DSP to the box. 

I stamped the words from the "To Every Season" set.  I stamped them on Whisper White card stock using Shaded Spruce ink.  The circle measured 1-7/8".  I die cut a Shaded Spruce scalloped circle for the back layer.

I glued the mittens from the "Let it Snow" embellishment kit.  I glued them in place on the circle. I tied a white piece of Baker's Twine into a bow.  I also glued that in place too.

I took a 1" strip of the DSP and cut it to fit around the candy.  I wrapped three pieces of candy for my little box. I glued the ends to hold the sleeve on.

I took the circle and added Dimensionals to the circle but only on the bottom 3/4. You need to leave the top open for the flap to slip behind.

And there you have it.  A very fun and cute candy holder.  This makes a fun little gift or stocking stuffer.
