Daisy Lane, Friendship Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I took the day off yesterday. I was exhausted after playing for two days with a 4 and 6 year old!  I loved every minute of it!

So today I decided to make a friendship card. I made a bracelet for a friend of mine and I'll be sending it off to her soon.  I wanted to make a card to go along with it.  I found a fun card on Pinterest and the wording was in the "Daisy Lane" set.  Can't ask for more than that.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crushed Curry.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the 6" x 6" Regals stack.  I love those little stacks. You sure do get a lot of papers for the money.  I cut the DSP 4" x 5-1/4" and I used the Pumpkin Pie gingham print one.

Next I stamped the flower from the "Daisy Lane" set on Whisper White card stock using Cajun Craze ink.  I stamped two and punched them out with the Medium Daisy punch.  I taped the two together with a glue dot.  

I had a couple of leaves already punched out.  The are from the "leaf" punch on Pear Pizzazz card stock.  I set them aside.

I stamped the wording from the "Daisy Lane" set on Whisper White card stock, using black Memento ink.  I die cut them out using the "Stitched" Nested Labels dies.  I used one that was too large for the words but once the flower and sequins were added it looked just fine.  I set the words in place using Dimensionals.

Then I added the leaves. I taped them where they touched the "Stitched" label piece.  

I added a little bit of white Baker's Twine to the top of the leaves and then I added the flower using glue dots.  

I used glue dots to set some orangeish sequins in place. The are from the "Iridescent" sequins assortment.  And for the final touch on the front, I added a medium sized gold faceted gem to the center of the flower.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside for easier writing.  Some colors of card stock are harder to read on than others.

This was a fun card to make and I LOVE it when I can use the 6" x 6" DSP.  I have yet to ever use up an entire pack!
