While looking though a tote I had found a card with this layout. I was looking at my Designer Series Paper (DSP) and thought I had some that would work well together. So I went ahead with the card. The original card had a couple of small circles in the center with a brad. That is how old the card was. When was the last time brads were popular on cards??? I had saved that card because I loved the layout. See, when you save stuff you eventually find a use for it. Never get rid of anything!!! LOL
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.
On top of the card base will be the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.
I cut a 2-5/8" x 3-1/2" piece of DSP from the Perennial Essence 12" x 12" pack. Actually I had to cut two, one of one design and one of another complimentary design. The backside of the DSP didn't match as well as I wanted, so I used two separate pieces of DSP. Which was okay, I ended up with two cards doing it this way. Once the rectangles were cut, I lined up the top right corner and the bottom left corner on my cutter and I cut the piece in half diagonally. I did the same to the other side. I taped the pieces to the Whisper White piece. Then I stamped the words. I waited until I taped the DSP on to add the words. I wanted to get them just right on the card. Being I was making two, I set the words up on my Stamparatus and stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink.

Next I stamped out the flower petals using the "Medium Daisy" punch and Whisper White card stock. I cut two per flower. I glued the centers together. I punched out a Pear Pizzazz leaf using the "Leaf" punch. I added a Dimensional to the back of the flower and stuck the stem of the leaf to it and then set the flower in place on the center of the rectangle. I punched out a 3/8" circle using a scrap piece of Crushed Curry. I was going to use Daffodil Delight card stock but I didn't have any scraps left and I didn't want to use a new piece just for a couple of small circles. The Crushed Curry blended in well.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I just LOVE using this layout.
